SCORING 101 (Only the Basics)

Scoring for events in Trampoline and Tumbling is complex. Only the basics will be covered here. Each skill is worth 1 point. Bonus points can be added to a routine by increasing the difficulty of the routine, so that it is possible to obtain higher than a perfect score. Deductions are taken for such things as form breaks, similar to scoring in gymnastics. Scoring for Synchronized Trampoline will not be covered here. Unlike gymnastics, there is no all-around. This allows athletes to compete on selected events and at different levels for different events.

Double Mini-Trampoline

There are 2 passes. A perfect score is 2.0 for 1 pass from 1 judge. There are 3 judges. The 3 scores on each pass are added together. A perfect score is a 12.0.

Power Tumbling

There are 2 passes: a short pass and a long pass. A perfect score on a pass from 1 judge is a 10.0. There are 3 judges. The 3 scores on both passes are added together. A perfect score is a 60.0.

Trampoline

There is only 1 pass, until Level 10. A perfect score is a 10.0. There are 3 judges. All 3 scores are added together. A perfect score is a 30.0.
