Biography

I've written a small biography, with help from sites that had a little bit of information on them. I hope you like it anyway, and if you have to add anything, e-mail me.

Henry Czerny was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. After his graduation from Canada's National Theater school in 1982, he practised Shakespearean and classical theater. The public's attention was drawn after seeing Czerny's portrayal of a pedophiliac priest running an orphanage for boys in the miniserie "The Boys of St. Vincent" (1993). It earned him a Canadian Gemini award for 'best performance by an actor in a leading role in a dramatic program or miniseries'. He had small supporting roles in police thrillers "A Man in Uniform" (1993) and "Cold Sweat" (1993). His breakthru in Hollywood came after playing an incestuous father in the TV movie "Ultimate Betrayal: The Rodgers Sisters Story" (1994). He had a great role in the big hit "Clear and Present Danger" (1994) as the sneaky chief of CIA operations, opposite Harrison Ford. He played a somewhat similar role in "Mission Impossible" (1996), though he was a 'good guy' in that movie. His credits include "Jenipapo" (1995),  "The Ice Storm" (1997) and "Kayla" (1998). He married Claudine Cassidy in 2001.
