| HBDI is a learning styles questionnaire that determines whether you are a thinking learner, doing learner, feeling learner, or an innovating learner. The two learning styles that are best for me are being a thinking learner and a doing learner. Thinking learners are people who learn well from an instructor giving lectures, visual aids, textbook readings, etc. Thinking learners are left brained learners. Doing learners are people who learn well from an instructor who gives factual information and step-by-step processes. Doing learners like to do hands-on work in labs. Doers, like thinkers are also left-brained learners. | |||||||||||
| The VARK questionnaire determines whether you are a visual learner, an aural learner, a read/write learner, or a kinesthetic learner. I scored highest in being a kinesthetic learner. Kinesthetic learners are people who like hands-on activities. Rather than listening to a lecture, kinesthetic learners like to watch a demonstration and then try it out themselves. I also scored high in being a visual learner. Visual learners are people who learn by looking at pictures or by someone demonstrating a certain activity for them. | |||||||||||
| According to the VARK questionnaire, I believe that my writing professor is a multi-learner. He is always full of life. He knows how to have a good time and to make class fun. He also knows how to get serious and help us when needed. He gives you good feedback on your essays and lets you know what you need to fix. | |||||||||||
| According to the VARK questionnaire, I believe that my study skills professor is a Feeling learner. He always tells us to dive deep in our journals or in anything that we write. He wants us to express our feelings in the journals that we write. | |||||||||||
| My least preferred learning style is a Feeling learner because I don't usually express my feelings in essays or anything that I have to write unless it's an assignment. I don't know how to dive deep enough to get a good paragraph or two in the journals we have to write. The professor that reflects my least preferred learning style is my study skills professor. He's all about us diving deep when we write our journals but I don't know how to dive deep and really get a good paragraph in my journals. | |||||||||||
