WILLIAM BENJAMIN BRACEWELL

William Benjamin Bracewell
b. 13 October 1801
d. 1862 or later
His brother James had inherited everything from their father RICHARD IV.
On 24 Jan 1819, he married ELIZABETH STEPHENS.
William was Sheriff of Dale County Alabama in 1850.
He also was census taker. Note the book and pen in his hand, in his photograph, above. Image flipped to correct position.
His sons served in the Civil War, all confederates.
Their 14 children were born over a period of 26 years.
The last recorded event in his life is that he buried his wife in 1862.
