| In 1995, with the contributions of many devotees, the
Kwan Yin Temple was established. The temple provided a
place where Buddhists could worship and practice along
the Chinese traditions of Buddhism.There is also an
ancestral hall where devotees could place the ashes and a
memorial tablet of the deceased. The Kwan Yin Temple is a traditional Chinese Buddhist Temple, practicing a combination of Pureland and Ch'an practices. The current abbot Venerable Shin Kuei comes from Taiwan. He follows the Lin Ji sect of the Ch'an tradition (Rinzai Zen in Japanese) There are weekly chanting services every Sunday at the temple. On special occasions, there may be special Dharma services. The temple is open daily from 10AM to 5PM. We welcome all to the temple, whether to pay respect to the Buddha, join in the services, or discuss the Dharma with the Venerable. |
