Benchmarking Staking

Instrument

  1. Telescope
  2. Telescope Stand
  3. Staff Rod
  4. Bubble Staff

Objective

Benchmarking Staking
- start & finish with known BM
- diff of BS & FS < 2.00 m
- diff of stadia reading < 0.002 m
- Calculation by Rise & Fall

Benchmarking Staking

1.Set up the instrument midway between and turning point 1 (TP1).
2.The first reading staff at bench mark (BM1) is a backsight. Turn the telescope to turning point 1 (TP1). The next reading is a foresight.
3.The instrument is moved to next set up forward position midway between turning point 1 (TP1) and turning point 2 (TP2).
4.Reading backsight at turning point 1 and foresight turning point 2 (TP2).
5.This method continues until the survey is tied to final BM 2 (unknow elevation bench mark 2).
6.After finally foresight is complete. back to close on the starting bench mark1 (BM1) and adjusting error of level loop.
7.Calculate total distances. The distance should balanced at the survey progresses.
8.The total distances to check error. An acceptable error must less than 0.012SQRT KM. (class 3 work).
