Boost Control Page

I have been getting questions from the EFIPMS list as to how I hooked up the PMS boost controller to the HKS External wastegate, and got it to hold boost exactly to whatever it was set to. I will take pictures of the car, but I used the below diagram from the 1st generation APEXi AVC-R Boost Controller directions to plumb in the AVC-R and then when the PMS was installed, the only change was that I disconnected the AVC-R's Solenoid and plugged the vacuum line into the PMS solenoid.

The below "modified" picture may also help some AVC-R guys, as the first time I looked at those directions, I was very confused. The "side" fitting of the HKS wastegate gets a line supplied from the manifold or from some source between the throttle body and turbo. I highlighted the path in RED. The other line comes from that same line, in my case the manifold line to the BOV, shown in black, and goes to the PMS BCS(boost control solenoid), or previously, the AVC-R solenoid, and then to the TOP of the Wastegate.

Hope this helps. I will post actual pictures from the car as soon as I can.

Not the best picture, but you can see that both fittings on the Wastegate have vacuum lines attached. The one on the top of the wastegate, closest to the power steering pump is the one that makes its way back to the PMS Boost Control Solenoid. The one on the side of the wastegate, closest to the turbo, is the one that goes back to and is T'd into the Blow Off Valve to Manifold Vacuum line.

Directions for the 2 step rev limiter upgrade for the PMS that replaces the Nitrous control feature in menu 500.
