| January 3rd, 2004 God, I love the internet. In the interest of keeping the public's Matt-anecdote appetite sated, combined with my altruistic desire to help out my fellow man, I bring the following email, received just this evening (paragraph breaks mine): Hello- I was very happy to see that you dedicated a site to such a cool guy. I knew Matthew (Matt) for a couple of years. We met in a Political Science class at Pasadena City College and found we had a lot in common. We had originally met when we were just kids at an ice skating show I skated in. He was there watching a friend of his skate. We hit it off and he invited myself and some friends to his New Year's party. I in turn invited him to my 21st birthday party at Camacho's Mexican Restaurant in Universal City Walk and he bought me my first margarita and my first tequila shot (and probably my last!). He was just getting really good at voice overs and excited about the work he was doing. My father and I went to Europe and we ended up arriving at LAX 7 hours late due to plane trouble and was stranded there. The only person I could get a hold of out of all my friends was Matt. Thank God! He saved my father and I from a terrible day. He had our names paged over the loud speakers and there he was, Matt to the rescue! My father and I will never forget his generosity and kindness that day. I ended up moving to South Carolina and lost touch with him. Last I knew, he was living in a house in Pasadena. I really miss him and would love to get in touch with him. Maybe if you can post this and Matt can somehow see this message, he will contact me. Thanks so much for your help, Alexandra Stams [email protected] Well, Alexandra, thanks for the story. I sure hope Matt sees this and gives you a shout. But if he does, I damn well better be invited for tequilas! December 30th, 2004 According to a post on IMDb.com, Matt does not have a part in Monster-In-Law. Well, that's a bummer. But what's not a bummer is the post I received on my blog: Nunya (Homepage) on 29 December 2004 at 20:20 Check the link I listed in the comment form (click on homepage, actually - accuracy ed) and see if you recognize the voice. And Matt is *NOT* gay! Hah. Too funny. I showed him this site http://geocities.com/kvitsh/labyorteauxshrine back in November and he was very touched. He was also bummed about the cancer. Cheers. Only an aquaintence... Oh my holy God. I don't know if this is crap, but I choose to believe it isn't. Life can be good, people. Always remember that. June 25th, 2004 According to a fan posting on IMDb.com, Matt has a role in Jennifer "The Liz Taylor of Our Generation" Lopez's soon to be released film Monster-In-Law. The post also seems to confirm that Matt is gay, since his boyfriend is the director. Well, while I feared this day would come, I'm strangely zen about it. And on the bright side, he'll be on the screen again. Also, all our hopes were dashed when the eagerly awaited release of Whiz Kids turned out to be some stupid video to make your baby smarter. Grr. It's still listed as having something to do w/ Matt, when I'm quite sure it doesn't. I, for one, was quite pissed at this development. At least for awhile, this site came up on Google when you typed in Matt's name (w/ the "y" in his surname). Whoopee! |
