Philosophy of Agricultural Education

Kyle Baker

Teaching Ag on a High School level is different than teaching a core class on any level.  Being an Ag Teacher you are responsible for shaping our future leaders into productive members of society. If it your responsibility to teach them life skills, show them career paths, and allow them to escape the monotonous course load of their core classes and think logically and apply what they have learned into a real life situation.  As an Agriculture Educator, I believe that it is your responsibility to teach team building skills, leadership skills, good animal husbandry practices, and most importantly let them have fun while doing it.
