          Being a unique person, as some have described me, I felt it fitting to find a unique way to impact James Madison FFA.  That, combined with my obsession with pigs, I have created a Swine Sire Selection Summary.  It came about when Mr. Pouncy asked my opinion on boars and what they should be bred to in regards to the handful of gilts that were in the James Madison Swine Project Center.  It then clicked; I should put a list together of boars that I thought were some of the leading phenotypic sires as well as some boars that are genotypically superior animals. I have compiled a list of 110 Crossbred, purebred Hampshire, purebred Yorkshire, and purebred Duroc boars.  The list was put into a PowerPoint with a picture of the boar, the name, breeding, price per dose, and stress status.  This “Sire Selection Supplement” will be used into this breeding season, and seasons to come.
