History

          This is about me - vijayalayan, the history till now.

             Born in Mettuaplayam, a beautiful town near Coimbatore city in the Tamilnadu state, India. My birhth day is on 13th April. It falls often on the Tamil New Year or a day before or after. So I celebrate it on the Tamil New Year day.

             My schooling started in Metro Matriculation School, in Mettupalayam. There it stopped abruptly as the school campus was shifted to the outer town. I then joined San Jose Matriculation School, in Mettupalayam for the same grade- UKG. There I continued till 10th grade, (Matriculation-80%). Then I joined SIV Matric Hr. Sec. School, Sirumugai. I completed my Higher Secondary studies there with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Maths as major subjects. Then comes my college studies. With my 85% in HSC, I joined PSG college of Technology, Coimbatore for my B.Sc Applied science studies in Manufacturing Technology. After a month study there, I got the offer letter to join Amrita Institute of Technology and Science, Coimbatore for my B.E. degree.

           I completed my Production Engineering course in April 1999. Fortunately, I secured the first rank for the Production Engineering course of the Bharathiar University. I was awarded a Gold Medal. During the third year of my college, I joined PSG college of Technology's non formal education. I learned C, C++ and Oracle. I was then attracted to Computers. MY college (AITEC) had a good Computer Lab. With easy access to the computers and all softwares I developed my skills in computers.

            On February 27th of 1999, I wrote my TOEFL and scored 593. Then after leaving college, I wrote my GRE on July 21st score and scored 1710). I retook it on October 29th and scored 1860. Applied for Masters program in Computer science and Industrial engineering to US universities in January. Mean while I was learning computers. I secured admission to five universities. University of Toledo gave me Tution assistantship so i decided to join there. I landed here in US on 24th july '2000. And now here Iam in Toledo, in the University of Toledo studying my Masters degree in Industrial Engineering........
