    Dispersed throughout Morocco are sites sacred to the Berber, Roman, Jewish, and Islamic peoples. Of particular note are the Islamic pilgrimage sites, as they are by far the most prominent.
    NOTE: A Zawia, roughly, represents the "domain" of a saint; it is a place associated with the saint's person.

Zerhoun Highest revered pilgrimage site in all of Morocco. This city was founed by the great grandson of the prophet Muhammed.
Fez This city was founded by Idris II 20 years after his father founded Zerhoun.
