| Howdy all! I'm Allison and I'll be your captain on this journey through my opinionated section of cyberspace. |
| First off, this is the first website I've ever put up, so please bear with my complete ignorance of everything linked and posted. I had originally started this site as a place to archive my fanfics, but school took over and I wrote less, so that didn't happen. Then I went to see Down With Love and decided to post my reviews of the movies that I see I'm 24 and female, so if I show a slight bias toward the male actors in movies, you know why. I have a tendency to go on actor kicks where I go to the video store and rent everything that an actor has been in and try to catch everything they've ever done on tv. Believe it or not, you get to see more interesting movies this way. I've watched stuff that I would never watch otherwise and found some choice stuff! I sing and play 4 instruments (piano, clarinet, french horn, and mellophone), so that's how I relieve stress. Where would the stress come from, you ask? Well, possibly my job as an aerospace engineer. Yes, I am a rocket scientist. No, I don't want to be an astronaut and no, I'm not that smart. I just put my head down and grunted through the long nights of CAD and report-writing. Trust me, you could do it, too. No, really. You could. One of these days I want to have Gene Krantz's job and be a NASA flight director, but I'll have to get a gig at NASA or the United Space Alliance first. Being a musician and all-around geek, I have a soft spot for my fellow musicians and for hero stories. This would explain my current love of Josh Groban, Everwood, and Smallville. Josh can add my proposal of a date to the millions of others he's received. Hey, I can try, can't I? Let's see, movies, tv, Josh...books! I haven't had a lot of time to read over the past 5 years that I was trapped in the engineering building, but I did make time for a few. If you haven't checked it out, read The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. The guy knows how to write! I'll add more about me when I think of it. I'm really not that complicated of a person. I just like what I like and I tell the whole world about it. My Dad told me that I don't interview for jobs well because I'm too honest. Hmm...I would have thought that would be a GOOD thing. <shrugs> |
