My '88 (S4) RX-7 (Turbo II)

Presently: '88 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II (FC). Motor: Old worn-out motor replaced with freshly rebuilt motor. 0 km's on motor rebuild to stock specs. New seals, new housings. New oil lines. Stock turbo and top-mount intercooler. Rebuilt stock (S5) 5-speed transmission replaces the old S4 transmission. Engine bay power washed. Exterior stock red fairly straight, but needs work. Interior: Stock grey interior, with grey leather seats. Power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power sunroof. CD player.

Interior: Stock grey interior now changed to black (not in pics), with leather seats. Windows, locks, mirrors, and sunroof all in good working condition. Also have new shift boot, new interior CF mirror traingles.

Left rear quarter panel stripped-down and straightened. Left door straightened.

Interior stripped-out. Engine bay cleaned, stripped down, sanded, primed, and re-painted black. Same goes for the passenger and driver's door jams, doors, and rear hatch region. Underside of hood power-washed, sanded, primed, and painted black.

From red to flat black. S5 front and rear bumpers, S5 front spoiler, S5 side skirts, S5 tails lights. S5 Turbo II rims and center caps.

Ride: '88 10th AE TII (Anniversary Edition Turbo II) - 10,000 kms on a street ported engine, Microtech LT-8 ECU, new TII transmission, Greddy Type-S blow off valve, Custom 3 inch Kakimoto exhaust. Bilstein reverse coilovers, custom camber plates, front strut tower brace. Momo Course racing seat, Momo Millenium steering wheel with Momo hub, Momo Grand-Prix S pedals, Mazdaspeed 4 point harness, Mazdaspeed Carbon-Fiber shift knob, Ignition/Start button, Indiglo Gauges. SSR 2-piece rims with 75% tread on Kumho 712s, New (remanufactured) 4 piston mazda calipers (July 21st, 2006), New PBR brake pads (July 21st, 2006), Brembo slotted and drilled rotors. H4 headlight conversion kit, S5 front bumper, S5 taillights, custom front headlight duct, RE-Amemiya Mirrors. Defi boost gauge, Apex'i Turbo timer, Panasonic head unit.                                                                   


My Previous '95 Lexus SC 400

Ride: '95 Lexus SC400. Platinum exterior (more of a bluish-silver colour, stock colour for Lexus, but harder to find these days). Vieta Autobody painted the car - they are Lexus autobody specialists. 97+ OEM Lexus body upgrade (not many in Canada): front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts. I bought the OEM body kit from Toyota, body parts were shipped from the US. OEM Lexus fog lights with PIAA yellows, HID kit, Tein Flex coil-overs, Lexus GS 400 rims. Motor (4.0 L V8 with automatic transmission) has 140,000 km on it, pulls strong and runs very smooth.

Ride: '95 Lexus SC400. OEM Lexus fog lights with PIAA yellows. HID 6000 K kit (not installed). Car came with an OEM Lexus telephone (antenae on rear windshield). OEM Lexus dual exhaust tips.

Ride: '95 Lexus SC400. Tein Flex coil-overs were purchased brand new, 1/2 a year of use on them. Lexus GS 400 rims, rubber about 80% in all four corners. Also have the stock '95 SC 400 rims.

Ride: '95 Lexus SC400. Black leather interior is 9.5/10 (hard to find a black interior with many Canadian SC 400's). Seats have regular wear, but no rips or holes in the seats. Has the OEM Lexus carpet floormats. Has dark wood accents along the dash and upper door panels. Driver and passenger airbags (steering wheel and dash). Has all the standard Lexus items: ABS, Traction Control, power windows, power mirrors, power sunroof, heated seats, vanity lights, cruise control. Stereo is stock BOSE unit, with BOSE in-trunk 6 CD player.

My Previous (3rd generation) Honda Accord

Ride: Honda Accord (3rd generation). Modifications: Built from an LX (carb) frame. Frame had to be pulled-out (bought it with the headlight basically pushed in towards the valve assembly). Originally all red exterior/interior. Swapped fenders, hood, trunk-lid, and bumpers from an '88 EX-i. Stock LX (carbed) engine. White exterior (rattle-can). Dark red leather interior (taken from a fourth generation Accord). Interior swapped to black. Custom gauges. FRD rims and cheap tires. Not bad for lots of friends, lots of time, some rattle-cans, and a Bobcat!

Update

08/08/08: Now S5 body in black primer. Engine bay, underside of hood, door jams, door inners, and rear hatch region all sprayed gloss black. S5 TII wheels being refinished with original centercaps.

08/07/06: Work continues on the '88 TII. Grey interior changed over to black. S4 body parts changed over to S5 trim, including front and rear bumpers, OEM S5 side skirts, and S5 border trim pieces.

08/07/06: Bought an '03 BMW 320i (silver), auto.

02/09/06: Bought an '06 Acura TL (black), 6-speed, sport-package. My daily driver.

15/10/06: Bought an '88 Anniversary Edition RX-7 TII.

01/10/06: Bought an '88 RX-7 TII. Motor to be rebuilt. Body needs work.

02/09/06: I upgraded the old '93 body style to a newer '97+ body-style, using OEM Lexus parts. Body conversion included a 97+ front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, and fog lenses with PIAA yellow lights. Car was re-painted Lexus Platinum Silver. Added an HID kit, and Tein Flex coil-overs.

10/09/05: Bought a '93 Lexus SC 400 (Platinum Silver = blue/silver). Bought some GS 400 rims shortly afterwards.

10/09/05: Sold the '90 RX-7, 323, '90 Talon, and '98 'Lude.

10/15/03: Bought a '90 RX7 TII (white). This was a sweet deal...one owner, all OEM parts...he even had the original bill of sale.

09/08/03: Bought a 323 hatchback (racecar). Engine: Built bottom end (low compression pistons, treated rods), turbo'd, side-mount intercooler, additional fuel injector, additional fuel controller, fuel cell in rear, battery re-located to rear. Suspension: custom fabricated shock towers, custom camber kit (front), coilovers (front and rear), rear sway bars (front and rear), custom fabricated (4-point) roll bar. Pansports with Yokahama rubber.

05/28/03: '98 Lude is waxed. '90 Talon is re-painted white. Talon is puttin' out on 15 psi.

05/10/03: My '98 'Lude is back from Carter Honda...it's been in the shop for about one month due to major engine work...the motor got replaced under warantee. I have the CF hood, JDM fogs, and OEM front lip on it now.

05/08/03: Bought a rear strut brace, manual boost controller, and EGT gauge for the '90 Talon.

04/15/03: Bought a '90 Talon TSi (AWD turbo). Have already put in a K+N, Sprint springs, and a strut bar. Hooks better than my '01 Cobra!

04/2/03: The '88 EX-i coupe is now for sale (update - now sold - May 5, 2003).

03/31/03: Bought an APEX'i V-AFC from Thomas (thanx Tman) for the '98 'Lude.

03/19/03: Got for the '98 'Lude Koni yellow for all four corners, as well as Cathy's (H22Agurl's) N1 exhaust, header, CF dash, and Cusco strut bar (front).

02/22/03: I got the '98 Lude as well. I just put on some Sprint springs (2 and 1/4 drop) and an AEM CAI (thanx James).
