No longer am I naive,
I have been taught,
A lesson in love.
My wings have fallen,
No longer are they there,
They seem to have disappeared,
Into thin air!
My wings are gone,
Forever......never,now,
A place for them,
Just emptiness on my back.
The halo, I wore,
Was proud and strong,
Until you came along,
Now all of this is gone.
The halo that I wore,
Lays there on the ground,
No more to be worn,
It's tarnished and brown.
You took my wings..............
You took my halo,
You took me to heaven,
Then back to earth again.
Now in complete,
Bewilderment,
I see,
Just what you did to me.
