Kustom Built was formed in Febuary 2003 by three best friends who wanted to create the ulimate band, yet weren't quite sure how to do so. Zac & Taka brought drawing and artistry to the table as well as their experience in the school band, while Skitch brought his background for writing music and sonic creativity.
After writing their first song, Kaged, they realized that the sound they had created would require a few more members of the band...a lot more members. They transitioned from being a trio to a sextet...adding a 2nd guitarist, a vocalist (who plays the 3rd guitar), and a DJ.
Now with a full roster, they had the expandability to write really intense songs with a wide musical spectrum. Each new member brought a new idea or skill to the table, yet with all six members...the songs hit hard with their music, and hit home with the lyrics. The music created by this band can only be described as sonically explosive...they fill up every inch of their music space both physically on stage as well as musically on an record. The lyrics hit home, creating music that can be related to by anyone and everyone and enjoyed by all. With 3 guitars, their songs create such a full & dynamic element its nearly impossible to achive the presence Kustom Built has musically. |
