Blue Seed
Yeah, that's right......my yahoo id is a character from this series! ^_^ It suprises me that so many anime fans have yet to see this action/comedy! The characters are likeable and believable. But don't let the humor mislead you, because this series has romance in it too. The story is about a young girl named Momiji, who has a quite unique ancestry. She is a not only a princess but a human sacrafice! The story begins with her twin sister katie leaving earth to live with strange aliens known as Aragami (not the paper models ^_^) The TAC is a group of people who work to protect momiji from the Aragami. And that when *drum roll* Kusanagi comes in. He helped protect Katie at one time but for some odd reason is confused as to whats to be done with this other twin sister. And after that the plot gets more twisted and exciting with every turn! I had to think hard about thisone but I would have to give it ****+. Its a well balanced anime that offers a little bit of everything. While some the under garment humor made toward momiji iisn't for everyone, it still ranks as one of the best anime!
Burn-up W
For anyone who hasn't seen this series, I got a few words for ya......from the creators of Tenchi Muyo! Must you know anything more!!? ^_^ Like Tenchi Muyo, this series is PG-13 but pushes the sexual under tones a little bit more! The story is about a special swat team( called Burn-up Warrior) that secretly takes out major crime sindicts. Out of the group of six, five are females! And all of them are funny and sexy in their own way. My only complaint about this series is that it is only 4 episodes long. That is until the new season comes out! ^_^ But for right now we will just have to settle with 30 minute volumes $20-25. If the price doesn't bother you, check this one out! ****
Gun Smith Cats
Wow and wow again! This has one of the best car chases I have ever seen. The animation is definitely top notch! Think of this anime as a Lethal weapon (with the adult language, blood, and guns) and you will have an idea of how it goes. This short series tells a story of two young women who own a gun shop. Everything was going well until the FBI stumbles upon their place and finds out they have no license to sell such weapons! so now they are at the FBI's mercy and must help on a secret mission to eliminate a few crime bosses! This definitely is an R rated anime and maybe that's part of it its loveliness! ^_^ *****
