Daspite the bst efforts of the TAC, Kaede vanishes in a
flash of light in a Aragami-infested construction site. Momiji
Fujimiya (Kaede's twin sister ) was attacked by a mysterious man
with green hair, threatening to kill her. She eludes the attacker
thanks to a little support from TAC members, Daitetsu Kunikida
and Ryoko Takeuchi. Later on her school was attacked by a enormous
snake looking monster.Momiji wonders why she so many individuals
want to harm her and why she is being referred to as "Princess
Kushinada."She is rescued by the same green-haired stranger,but
in the process is implanted by a Mitama (a blue lookin' seed)
by the monster when her enigmatic(yet seemingly peverted) savior
was weakened by the monster.Luckily,she survives the whole ordeal.

Kusanagi arrives in a nick of time,challenging the Aragami for Momiji.However he can't decide whether he wants to sacrifice her(in order to set himself "free") or save her.Momiji discovers about her family inheritance and why the Aragami despeately wants to get to her.The TAC shows up with an experimental anti-Aragami weapon (the TAC seems to do this a lot).

Momiji is put into protective custody by the TAC in Tokyo.
She wants to help her newfound compatriots but is not sure how,
even though the TAC just wants her to be safe and stay away from
any action. Momiji confronts an Aragami all by her lonesome as
an Aragami shows up at the TAC headquarters ;_; .

Momiji is slowly accepted as an active member of the TAC. She was assigned to go with Kome Sawaguchi, who was irritated that she had to babysit the young Kushinada. Momiji soon discovers that her Mitama gives her Aragami-sensing abilities.

Ms. Matsu-Daira is amused that she can use Momiji as a test
subject . However,Kusanagi is apalled that Momiji is being used
as a guines pig and threatens Matsu-Daira and her only son, Jun.
Matsu-Daira is concerned that she has not been spending much time
with her son and regrets that she is so consumed with her work.
Momiji confronts Kusanagi about the threats, when suddenly a giant
jellyfish Aragami rose up
from Tokyo Bay.

Momiji tries to comfort Yaegashi when he felt that he is
in grave danger due to his lack of combat experience and started
feeling sorry for himself because of it. Poor ol' Momiji found
out more about him than she bargained for ^_^ . The unlikely duo
soon find themselves looking
for the next Aragami.
I'm fired up! I'll do it because I'm the Kushinada! (top)
Momiji is upset due to a six year old girl's kidnapping
and sets on a quest to find and retrieve her.Unfortuantely, the
girl's father was one of the men who conducted studies on Momiji's
sister, Kaede. If she gives in to the demands set by the kidnapper,
the Aragami would be able to produce more "ceramic fields"
( the material in which the Aragami can kill the Kushinada without
putting themselves into a deep sleep) in
which the Kushinada's powers are rendered useless.
What!? How strange! A Rival Appears! (top)
Sakura Yamazaki, flamboyant queen and Aragami hunter returns from America to hunt Aragami in Japan. Momiji and Sakura are off to a bad start when Sakura percieved her as a potential pest and rival. The two decided to square off in a idol singing contest in a studio with a history of Aragami-related attacks (psssh!). Sakura's flirtation with Kusanagi and advice from a totally unexpected source ^_- forces Momiji to admit some of her hidden feelings to herself.

A pack of Mitama-mutated pack of stray dogs stalks the city. The
dogs blurring speed prevented the TAC and Kusanagi from inflicting
any damage on the Aragami,thus halting any sorta progress. Someone
however, is killing the Aragami dogs. Kusanagi tries to solve
the mystery of the Aragami dogs' killer by inviting Momiji on
a "date"(snicker).Unfortunately, she doesn't know of
Kusanagi's plan.
Innocence! Love! My first kiss! (top)
The TAC battles a giant, fire-breathing frog that is demolishing the subway system. Momiji senses another presence and finds herself facing Murakumo. Murakumo grimaced in amusement as the floor collapses under Momiji. Luckily, Kusanagi arrives in a nick of tome to revive her, but in the process creates a whirpool of misunderstandings and mixed feelings. Kusanagi fights Murakumo only to find out that one less Mitama can mean a worldful of difference and that he can't possibly help without help from the seemingly defenseless Kushinada.

Momiji is less than thrilled when she finds out that Sakura
has moved in the same school as she's in. Even worse is that Sakura
is having secret meetings with no other than Kusanagi.Things only
go to bad to worse when the TAC investigates the discovery of
four girls whose blood has been drained from their bodies, the
trail of deaths centers around the school.
Can you feel it? I Can't Ignore It! An Ominous Premonition of Catastrophe! (top)
Momiji is struggling between her schoolwork and her job as an active member of the TAC. Meanwhile, a giant centepede Aragami attacks skyscrapers (leaving its skin/shell wrapped around the skyscraper) and Kusanagi injures himself once again in a fight against Murakumo. Kusanagi survives the ordeal (his ego hurting a little) to Momiji's bedroom window where she attempts to help him. Kusanagi however makes haste and leaves Momji behind before she could have attended to him. The centepede Aragami attacks another skyscraper. The TAC notices something peculiar about the attack pattern of the monstrous centepede.
I Love You! This is so Extreme! Time to Confess! (top)
Realizing Momiji's feelings for Kusanagi, the members of
the TAC play matchmaker (you gotta watch this episode, it is really
wierd and funny all at the same time! ^_- ). Feeling desperate
to try anything, , Momiji takes their thoughtful (yet completely
bizarre) ideas as to how to tell Kusanagi about her feelings towards
him and gives it a shot. However, before she could have had a
chance to tell him,she is literally swept off her feet and is
summoned to an underground cave where she witnesses the rebirth
of Susanooh, the Aragami god. Surprisingly her twin sister, Kaede
was also with them (Murakumo and Susanooh). Time to hear some
answers!
A Chase Down Yamato Highway! Love Under Fire! (top)
trees mysteriously die as Kaede and Murakumo travel Japan with the infant Susanooh. Meanwhile a new Aragami poisons the air in the resort of Nara with pollen. Momiji loses faith when she saw how Kusanagi reacted after seeing Kaede again. Yaegashi acts wierd as he.....um never mind. Better not spoil it for you. The TAC tries out an even more effective anti-Aragami weapon (surprise ,surprise!)
Lost and Trembling on a Trip to Michinoku! (top)
The TAC travels to investigate sightings of the famous Japanese
sea monster,Kappa. There they met a former classmate of Kaede.
The classmate continue to praise Kaede, making Momiji feel lose
faith in herself, thinking that she can't possibly compete with
someone as "perfect" as her.

Mr.Kunikida investigates the death of a old, yet close friend in a small seaside town,in the process meeting his friend's widow. A couple of mysterious fatalities have occured. He gets a clue as to who the killer is from the legend of the "Thousand year Nun," in which a woman becomes immortal after eating a mermaid's flesh.
Let it Bloom Japan! A Blizzard of One-sided Love! (top)
Mr. Kunikida has become distraught over the death of her
friend and Kaede's actions. He tries to get his mind off it by
drowning himself in his work. Ryoko tries to cheer him up, but
was only partially succesful. Momiji and Kusanagi are affected
by a ritual that is suppose to increase Susanooh's powers, leaving
the TAC to deal with Kaede and Murakumo.

Shadows of the past come back to life for Sakura when Nozuchi, the same Aragami that killed her mother is once again awake due to the arrival of Susanooh. Momiji and the TAC have to rush to her aid as she leaves her talisman at her appartment. In the process, both Momiji and Sakura are swallowed alive.Inside, Sakura finds out what really beacame of her mother.
Heat Haze! Start on a Journey! Love, I Won't Be Far From You! (top)
Kaede uses her powers to engulf the city of Kogure in an
energy dome. Kusanagi (who is able to go through the barrier)
goes in in search of Kaede. However,he soon finds himself trapped
in a fantasy world in the seemingly deserted city. Momiji blindly
follows Kusanagi,ending up in the fantsy realm herself. She now
has to try to attempt to rescue Kusanagi from his own daydreams.
I'm Home! Izumo! The Prologue of Hope! (top)
Anticipating Susanooh's next destination,Momiji,Kunikida,and Takeuchi return to where this whole series has started,Izumo,in a last ditch effrot to prevent the god from fully recovering once more.The rest of the TAC stayed behind in Tokyo to cope with the emergence of giant roots all over Japan. Momiji enjoys being reunited with her friends and family, however she feels that too much has changed in the past few months. The Cave of the Sun god is Susanooh's last destination, which is found somewhere in the Izumo region.
Goodbye! No Way! A Tearful Farewell? (top)
Momiiji wakes up to discover that she can talk to telepathically
talk to Kusanagi due to the bond thy share through their Mitamas.She
finds out that Kusanagi is once again on the hunt for Kaede and
Susanooh and watches as Kusanagi comfronts them. She then sets
out with Ryoko to find them, but to her surprise something(or
someone) is messing with her tracking abilities. Momiji's mother,grandmother,
and Mr.Kunikida try to protect the entrance to the Cave of the
Sun God, however the whole plan proved futile. As the Kushinada
confront each other for the first time,Kusanagi fights Murakumo
to the death once and for all.

Although shocked at Kusanagi's apparent death, Momiji still clings to the hope that he survived the fight with the villainous Murakumo.On their way back to Tokyo,the Prime Minister orders Kunikida to hand Momiji over to be sacrificed for the sake of Japan. Although the Tac refuses to hand her over,Momiji came to the conclussion that it is her duty as a Kushinada to protect Japan,even at the cost of her life.To her this is a way for her to avenge Kusanagi's downfall. The TAC makes up its mind and develops a plan to rescue Momiji from the Japanese government to try to convince her to keep on fighting for all she holds dear(*sniff*).
Meeting Again, Starting on a New Journey. I Won't Lose! (top)
Kusanagi finds himself in Suanooh's "hideout"
,where she confronts Kaede once more. She reveals that she wants
Japan to be renewed and that she and Kusanagi will be reborn in
this new world. Meanwhile, the TAC is in hiding (because they
took back Momiji from the Japanese government by force) trying
to make an artificial Kushinada pulse that will greatly amplify
Momiji's powers. At the same time Tokyo is being evacuated and
the Japanese defense forces prove no match to an increased series
of Aragami attacks. The Aragami however, are being absorbed by
the giant root-like plants that Susanooh sprung all over Japan.
Murakumo is angered by this and begins to question Kaede's actions.Unable
to get anything incriminating on her,he kidanaps Momiji to try
to get her to answer his questions(he thinks its a Kushinada thing
Kaede is planning). Kaede the declares that she will use the ancient
Rite of Matsuri to turn all living things into plants. This confrontation
reveals the truth about the Aragami,Susanooh, and the Kushinadas.
The Setting Sun,The Coming Day. A Private Time For Each of Us. (top)
The Japanese government announces on national TV that Momiji
needs to be sacrificed in order to stop the Aragami.The now frustrated
people of Japan wants Momiji's blood. A series of natural disasters
engulfs Japan, causing chaos everywhere.Meanwhile the TAC discovers
that the resonance of the Kushinada pulse is the same melody as
the Rite of Matsuri.Now Japan's only chance is to perform the
rite,using the Artificial Kushinada Pulse to amplify Momiji's
powers.The Japanese government then decides that if all else fails,
nuclear missiles (courtesy of the United States) will be launced
at Tokyo to destroy Susanooh and the Aragami meanace. The members
of the TAC separate to spend
their possible last day with their loved ones, friends, and for
reflection. They reveal personal feelings about the upcoming event
and about each other that they have not been able to express before.

All or Nothing! Decision! My Fate! (top)
Momiji performs the Rite of Matsuri on top of the sacrificial
altar in a seemingly futile attempt to defeat Susanooh. She tries
her hardest,knowing that failure can lead to Tokyo being nuked,destroying
everything that they were trying to protect in the first place.She
soon realizes that her efforts seem useless,nonetheless she perseveres.The
root-like plants all over Japan begin to bloom,sending a multitude
of deadly spore all over the hapless country,almost simultaneously
when Susanooh emerged from his cocoon as a monster. The exhausted
Momiji is kidnapped by Murakumo,who is revealed as Orochi.He has
prepared a ceramic field in order to kill both Kaede and Momiji.
Momiji then makes a desperate plea to her sister to help Japan,
but these words fall on deaf ears.This is the beginning of the
end........
New Soul! (top)
The last episode of the series features Kusanagi vs Murakumo(as
Orochi).Meanwhile, a tireless Momiji continues to do the Rite
of Matsuri,even when the Artificial Kushinada Pulse machine overheats.
Her power spreads and even gets to Kaede,who has been absorbed
by Susanooh. Murakumo is obliterated when he tries to absorb all
of Susanooh's powers. As Momiji's vital signs grow faint,her power
finally touches all of Japan,wiping out Susanooh's influence.
Kaede and Momiji finally comes to an understanding ,while a renewed
sense of hope spreads all over the country. All over Japan people
join in the Rite of Matsuri. The exhausted Momiji is revived by
her sister's powers. Life has
come back to Japan.The end (*sniff*).
