brighten up these cloudy days
help us see right through the haze
soon it all will be quite clear
when our hearts are together here
forget about the things we’ve lost
and times we couldn’t pay the cost
new beginnings with each passing day
so many chances to find our way
leave behind what is now gone
too late to fix what did go wrong
soon the darkness will become dawn
let nature decide where we belong
when life seems to be a little strange
no need to try to rearrange
things in life that will not change
don’t get lost inside the past
within the dreams that couldn’t last
build the future with dreams instead
look forward to the times ahead
at times it feels so far away
but soon tomorrow will be today
soon it all will be quite clear
when our hearts are together here
