The father of Momentum
The person that first used the concept of momentum was Sir Issac Newton.
Newton was born: January 4 , 1643
He died : March 31, 1727
He attended college at Trinity College in Cambridge.
Issac Newton was a very intelligent mathematician and enjoyed pondering upon many scientific and mathematical theories.
At age 23 started developing the concepts of mechanics, formulated the universal laws of gravatation, and developed calculus.
Many claim Newton obtained all of his knowledge by getting hit on the head by an apple.
Newton was acredited with coming up with momentum.
This concept is a variation of his second law of gravitation.
Momentum is a force being applied on an object.
This object has mass and can be accelerated.
The change in velocity is the acceleration.
