Kurt Angle Likely to Find Gold with Stephanie (Spoiler) Posted by Aaron Dias on October 12, 2000 The following is a rumor and has not been confirmed, nor substantiated: Tonight on WWF Smackdown, it will be revealed that Stephanie will announce that she will be the fulltime manager of our "Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle. Angle, the current number one contender for the World Wrestling Federation Championship at the upcoming No Mercy pay-per-view, is at this time slated to meet The Rock that evening. However, it is heavily rumored that The Rock will drop the title prior to the pay-per-view event (WWF will not confirm the match when the number one contender and WWF Champion are already determined). In that case, if The Rock were to drop the title in the coming weeks, things are pointing to Kurt Angle winning the WWF Championship at No Mercy with the help, obviously, from Stephanie. At this point, Triple H will become outraged and question why his wife wasn't that helpful to him. The stage is already set for a Angle/HHH showdown at Survivor Series with extremely high stakes: Number one, Stephanie, the permanant manager of Kurt Angle, will be forced to make the decision of who's side she will enter with in the match. Secondly, but not definitely, the WWF Championship. Zap2It Raw Preview: Stephanie Decides; Austin Retaliates Posted by Aaron Dias on October 14, 2000 Below is the Raw is War Preview, courtesy of Zap2It. Title: WWF RAW Description: What is Steph's Angle? Title: WWF War Zone Description: Stone Cold has No Mercy. It appears as if Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley will clarify where she stands with both her husband Triple H and her "managee" Kurt Angle. Secondly, it will be quite apparent that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be all over the place, looking to give Rikishi a night of living hell. WWF News: Triple H, Stephanie, Angle Posted by Brandon Newman on October 14, 2000 The Following News is from RajahWWF.com: Triple H refuses to stray away from his "business decision" of not allowing his wife Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley to ringside, claiming that not only is it too dangerous for her, but that she has become a liability to him, costing him matches and left and right. Stephanie for her part has been desperate to prove Hunter wrong and asked time and time again for him to reconsider his "business" decision. You might notice that I always end up putting business in quotations and I do that because it serves a very important purpose in the context of this storyline. And this was actually exemplified on Smackdown! as Steph followed through with a business decision of her own, that being to publicly announce that she would now exhaust all her managerial services to Kurt Angle. Of course Kurt is a damn happy guy to hear that since it's what he's always wanted all along, but the reaction of Triple H will likely be not as complacent. I'm guessing come Monday, Triple H will confront Stephanie about her alignment with Angle, to which she'll throw the whole business theory back in his face. After all, if he can do it, she can do it as well. Stephanie has all her bases covered because at the end of Kurt Angle's match, she refused a HUG but accepted a HANDSHAKE, which all but cements the fact (at least to Triple H and the gullible fans) that she's only doing this for business reasons. The logical progression from here is that Stephanie proves herself as a valuable manager/valet by helping Kurt Angle capture the world title next Sunday. I can imagine right now just how much that will infuriate Triple H.
