Week Beginning - 21 August 2000

RAW

Rocky is out, he's angry at what happened on Smackdown, talking about sticking his boot up aallll..... their candy asses. He says that Triple H and Kurt Angle may seem united now but they both have different goals.
     1. To take the WWF Title off the Rock
     2. To win the hand of the biggest two dollar slut the Rock has ever seen (ED: who's that then?)
Next out is the commish. He's making an unpopular move of giving the Rock the night off.
Now here's the Olympic Hero. He said his integritywas tested last week, but now he has gained a friend by choosing friendship over selfishness. Kurt Welcomes out his new friend, Triple H.
Triple H is really proud of his new friend Kurt Angle. It's true. Now Triple H challenges Rock for the title. Foley tells him that it'll be Triple H and Angle againest the Acolytes. Foley also reminds us about Steph's match with Lita, and decides that the Rock will be special guest referee.

Backstage the extended family is talking about unity, but can't decide who's match is more important.

Triple H and Angle have their match, a few reluctant tags, but they get the win. Triple H leaves the ring quickly and Kurt gets jumped on by the Acolytes. Triple H is going to get back in the ring but changes his mind.

After the break, in the locker room, Kurt is pissed at Triple H, but he convinces Kurt that he needs to be a team player and focus on Stephanie (ED: Kurt's been focusing on Stephanie for a while now!).

Kurt is going to leave but Steph runs up and catches him. She begs him to stay, she says she really needs him there, she needs his support in her match. Oh okay then, I'll stay!

Triple H is showing Stephanie some moves, Kurt is pointing out all the mistakes he's making and asks to show some moves. Triple H is having none of it but Steph talks him round to letting Kurt show her some moves. He is Olympic Champion. Kurt says he's gonna show her the 'real stuff'!

Kurt is showing Steph moves, he stops to tell her what a great night this is. He's showing her another move when Triple H walks in. He doesn't like what he sees and takes Steph away with him. Kurt can't understand why.

It's time for the Women's Title Match
Lita is taking it to the Princess. Outside the Hardy's come down to attack Triple H and Kurt. Steph turns it around in the ring and even gets in the Rocks face over a slow count.
Lita is going for her moonsault when Kurt pushed her off the top. The Hardy's attack again.
Kurt gets up on the apron with the Title belt. Rock pulls him into the ring, but here comes Triple H. Kurt goes to hit Rocky with the belt but hits Triple H instead. Rock gives Kurt a Rock-Bottom, Stephanie comes after Rock and he hits her with a Spine-buster. He then directs Lita to the top, she hits the moonsault and the Rock fast-counts Stephanie.

SMACKDOWN

Stephanie McMahon comes out by herself, no title belt (ED: *wipes a tear*), she is very upset and says she was robbed by Mick foley and the Rock. Steph wants a rematch tonight.
It's okay here's Kurt Angle. He's here to commiserate with his 'friend'. He agrees that Foley and Rock are to blame, but also Triple H. That brings Triple H storming down, he knocks Kurt right out of the ring. Here comes Foley too.
He has realised that Rocky wasn't a fair ref. He apoligises to Steph and says he wants to be her friend. He pulls out a couple of gold medals, because he knows Steph is attracted to men who wear medals. It's true. Then he grants the rematch, but it's gonna be Steph with either Kurt or Triple H againest Lita and the Rock. Steph is going to have to choose.

Triple H and Steph are already discussing the match. Steph says that they need Kurt there to discuss as well. Triple H goes mad, but she manages to calm him down.

Steph and Kurt are talking about the match. Kurt tells her that Triple H is a hot-head and that he'll make mistakes. He says that with Steph's athelic skills (ED: *WEG*) and his olympic wisdom the match won't go more than three minutes.

Triple H asks Steph what Kurt Angle said. She told him that Kurt made some valid points that she would have to consider. Triple H gets up, he's gonna have a word with Kurt.

Triple H has caught up with Kurt Angle. He says he is Steph's partner tonight and for life. He says that Steph doesn't make the decisions, but she walks in and says she does and she will. Steph picks ... no, wait ..... she's going to flip a coin.

Steph is about to flip. Heads = Triple H, Tails = Kurt Angle. It's tails. Triple H is not happy but Kurt is well pleased. He tells Steph that now they're 'partners' they need to get serious (ED: Wait for it ....!).

The match is underway ...... Rock gets Kurt in a sharpshooter, but Steph comes in and slaps the Rock. He goes for her. Kurt pushes him into the corner. He is about to whip Rock out of the corner but Rock reverses and sends Kurt into Steph, knocking her off the apron and into the steel steps.
Triple H comes to the aid of Stephanie and carries her to the back, and thens comes back out to the top of the ramp where Rock and Angle are fighting. Triple H knocks down the ref and the ref. Triple H and Kurt then go after Lita which brings out the Hardy Boys.
Kurt gets knocked out of the ring and is about to return but leaves Triple H to the Rock, the Hardys and Lita and goes back to find Stephanie.
Kurt has found her and apologises, he says he didn't mean it and he really cares about her and gives her a big hug.
We think that's it but then Kurt plants one on Stephanie. Talk about laying the smack down! This kiss lasts about 11.91 seconds (ED: not that anybody's counting) and Steph seems shocked at first but then begins to enjoy it. The look on their faces afterwards! I can't wait for SummerSlam!
