| Report - Week Beginning 16 October 2000 RAW is WAR Kurt and Steph are having a 'business' meeting backstage. She tells him that he will defiantly win the World Title at No Mercy. Triple H walks in. Steph says that this is a business meeting and that Kurt should stay. Triple H says that he wants her to leave. Triple H tells Kurt to remember two things. One, when Steph is at ringside she is Kurt's responsibility, and two, the relationship between Kurt and Steph better not become anything more than business (ED: Where have you been Triple H?). If it does then Triple H will make Kurt pay. Before tonights match (Kurt, Edge, Christian vs Rock & Hardys), Kurt and Steph get on the stick (ED: Microphone, that is!). Steph again says that she'll lead Kurt to the World Title this Sunday, just like she did for Triple H. Kurt tells her that he thinks she's right, but there's a difference. Kurt will have achieved the IC and Euro Titles, King of the Ring and the World Championship, all within his first year; where-as it took Triple H a lifetime. He moves on to the Rock, saying that his losing streak will begin tonight. As usual at some point during the match all hell breaks loose. Kurt is down on the mat after suffering a Spinebuster from the Rock. Stephanie tries to help, Rock grabs her by the hair, but Edge and Christian break it up and work on the Rock on the outside. Jeff Hardy gets up on the top turnbuckle and is set for the Swanton Bomb, Steph nails him, knocking him down into the ring where Kurt hits the Olympic Slam for the win. |

| SmackDown Triple H and Stephanie arrive together (ED: that's a surprise), they seem pretty happy (ED: that's unbelievable), until Earl Hebner tells them about the four corners match tonight. Rock, Beniot, Triple H and Kurt. Triple H and Steph meet up with Kurt in Mick Foley's office. All three where complaining to the commissioner about tonight's match. Stephanie was the main voice, even telling Kurt to shut-up at one point! (You could see Triple H trying to hold in the laughter). No go though, the match goes ahead: for the fans. A while later, Kurt and Steph are having another one of their infamous backstage meetings. Kurt says that he's worried about Steph and the match tonight. He wonders what Stephanie would do if she has to make a choice between him and Triple H. Steph tells him that she'll do the right thing. Triple H is similarly concerned. Steph tells him the same thing: she'll do the right thing. The match is on, Triple H and The Rock seem to be working together, until they've Kurt and Beniot seemly down and out, then they go for each other, with Rock getting the upper hand. Rock hits the People's Elbow on Triple H, but Stephanie pulls him off the cover. Kurt sneaks in and gets the pinfall himself. Steph can't quite believe that Kurt scored the pin on Triple H, she may even have been able to stop it. While Kurt celebrates his win Beniot get in and slaps the Crippler-Crossface on Triple H. On the outside Rock goes after Steph, but Kurt makes the save and the two superstars battle into the ring, where Rock locks in a leg-grapevine (ED: The Sharpshooter was Bret Hart's move). Steph got into the ring but couldn't make up her mind who to help (ED: Make the right choice!). Beniot drops his hold on Triple H and goes after Rock, getting the Crossface on him. Stephanie checks on her husband (ED: Make the right choice!). Beniot leaves with a big laugh and the three other men in pain on the mat. |
