Week Beginning - 7th August 2000

RAW

Kurt Angle is talking to Mick Foley. He tells Foley that he should have a title match at SummerSlam. Mick told him he would think about it.

Triple H also came to the Commissioner and asked for a title match. Mick told him he would think about it.

Stephanie is now in Kurt Angle's dressing room. They looked at each other's gold and Kurt says it must be great to be the champion. Steph told him about Triple H being angry with Kurt for hugging her on Smackdown. Kurt asked her if Triple H raised his voice to her She said not too much. Angle said that Triple H should be more sensitive, he should undergo sensitivity training.

'Joe' walks into Triple H's dressing room and tells him that all 'the guys' are saying that Kurt Angle will probably be the guy to bring down Triple H.

Stephanie makes her way to the ring to speak. She apologizes to her husband, shouldn't have hugged Kurt for so long etc. Calls out Triple H. More sorries. Big hug. Calls out Kurt Angle.

Kurt and Triple H are ready to go at it. Stephanie tries to get them to make up and shake hands.

Mick Foley comes out. The make the match for tonight - Kurt Angle vs Triple H for number one contender.

Shane is telling Mick Foley that he wants to see Chris Jericho punished after interfering in Benoit's title match. Mick said he would put him in a position where he could be beat on by two world class atheletes. Tonight's number one contenders match!

The match goes ahead ........ back and forth as you'd expect, till the end - Triple H and Angle hit Jericho with a double belly-to-back suplex from the top, both then proceed to get the pin. They argued in the ring about who got the win until the Rock came in and gave them both a Rock Bottom. Stephanie, sticking up for her men, slapped the Rock and got a Rock Bottom for her troubles.

Smackdown

At the start of the night Mick Foley is out, closely followed by Shane McMahon and Kurt Angle. Kurt says that he should be number one contender and also that he was very upset that Stephanie got Rock Bottomed.
Triple H then comes out, with Steph, he is sure that Mick Foley will make him number one and then tells Kurt, for the last time, to stay away from his wife. Shane tried to settle everybody down.
Foley is back on the mike and says that the title match at SummerSlam will be a Triple Threat between The Rock, Triple H and Kurt Angle. But, tonight Triple H and Kurt Angle would have to get together to face The Rock and Undertaker.

'Joe' walks in on Kurt Angle. He told Kurt that the 'boys' where saying that Kurt didn't need to worry about Undertaker or Rocky, because Triple H would take him out when he least expected it.

'Joe' is now with Triple H, he tells the Game not to worry about Angle, but Shane McMahon. He said that Shane wants to control the WWF Title so much that he would sell his own sister down the river.

Shane and Kurt walk into the dressing room of Triple H and Stephanie. They begin to argue. Shane leaves, saying that he'll let them work it out between themselves. Steph did the same.

The match ended like this:-
  The Rock was beating up on Triple H, he was trying for a pin. Kurt tried to stop it with an elbow drop, but Rock moved and he hit Triple H instead. Triple H then pushed Kurt and walked out. Stephanie begged him to return, but he wouldn't. Undertaker hit Kurt with the Last Ride for the win. Steph came in to the aid of Kurt. The Rock got hold of her and was about to give her the Rock Bottom, but Triple H came in and saved her. He then took a beating from Rock and 'Taker.

Big week - huh!?!
