5 Months, Week 20!!!!
OMG! If that says "20 weeks", that means it must be on or after March 23rd! I must know what the baby's sex is!!! I'm going to prepare this page sort of in advance, on account of I know I'll probably be to excited to be able to just sit here and play with a web page for a little while...
I am going to leave things pretty plain though, So that I may spiff it up in a blue or pink motiff (whichever is appropriate), when I hear the exciting news. It will probably be posted before we go Baby Registry shopping on the 24th, because we are meeting family for dinner after the ultrasound to celebrate.
BOY or GIRL? Last chance to guess!
Again, We really wish both of our complete families could be there with us when we get the wonderful news!
Yesterday was our ultrasound! It's a boy! The ultrasound tech said she felt confident about saying ITS A BOY! and we have pics to prove it!
I KNEW IT! I'm soooooo happy   =)
He is measuring a little bigger than what they last thought (they keep going back and forth, but just by a few days). He is head down, which doesn't matter that much at this point. Ashley got to join Kurt and I at the doctors this time too. We got to see all 10 toes and fingers, they were so cute as was the rest of him. The placenta is located at the back which is good (so it doesn't block his exit LOL).

And he is still VERY active, I am beginning to worry about things to come. Ashley was a pretty calm baby till around the 26-34th weeks. As a matter of fact the entire first and second trimester was kind of uneventful (but she did decide to make up for it at the end). The time around I guess he wants to show me the "Grand Tour" of each and every extreme and symptom! HA HA

I've been doing well, except for a lovely upper respiratory infection that Kurt, Ashley, and I got this week, thankfully that's alomost gone. I have by far more energy than I did a few months ago. No swelling so far. I'm not as nauseas, although I am still having to fight with my toothbrush UGH! I'm worried
because I scheduled a dentist appoinment for myself last December (3 month wait for my dentist), for next Tuesday the 27th at 7am! I didn't think I would still have such a problem, and it's 100 times worse in the early AM!!! My plan is just to wake up very early, nibble on some cheese or something, and try to trick my body into thinking it's laterin the day.
*Crossing fingers*

The baby is gaining more and more strength in the punching, kicking and nudging department, IN FACT!!!! Last night (3/23/01) was the
first time I ever got to see my belly jumping around! Boy oh boy was he trying to show off HAHA. I loved it, I couldn't believe it because I'm only 20.5 weeks! I think I was about 26-28 before I saw that with Ashley. Speaking of, the doctor said that my new estimated due date is August 6, 2001 (instead of the 9th). Oh, instead of gaining, I again lost a couple more pounds. The doc kept telling me how important it was to gain a small amount by every visit, (with a total of no more than 25 pounds, because I started off with what I ended with Ashley)  and that pregnancy is not a good time to try to diet. I told her although I'm trying to stay away from excessive fats, I am not in any way dieting. Oh well, I think it's not that bad, and baby is healthy, and I'm sure I'll make up for the lost weight closer to the end of pregnancy. UGH

Ashley and Kurt (and of COURSE me!) are sooooo happy that were having a healthy baby boy! We broke my side of the family of the ALL GIRLS streak! Grandma had 4 girls, Mom had 4 girls, My sister had 1 girl, and I had my lil girl too! There are 2 male cousins, a few men that married into the family and of course Kurt, but that's it for boys! We just did our part to even things out!
*giggle*
IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!
