It's great to see him behind the ol' drum set again!!! The new Queens of the Stone Age album is really good, or so my friend tells me, I haven't personally heard all of it yet. Krist Novoselic, on the other hand, has also gone into a new band. The name of his band is Eyes Adrift, and it includes one guy from The Meat Puppets (Curt Kirkwood) and another from Sublime (Bud Gaugh). The type of music is classified under "Alternative Country". I didn't know there was a such thing! Kudos to Krist!! He lives on a farm in south-western Washington. He has a recording studio in a barn, and a tour bus in a pasture. He usually has his stereo blasting, and some "squealing" guitars along with monster bass riffs with such a boom that the neighboring cows take notice. (that came from Guitar World magazine) The battle against Courtney Love is finally pretty much over.... and of course Krist and Dave won. The previously unreleased song "You Know You're Right" hit radio stations last week (September 25th). Not to mention a greatest hits album is supposed to hit stores in mid November. Around Christmas we can expect a Box-Set and I also heard somewhere along the line we can be expecting another album containing rarities. Finally the bitch Courtney didn't get her way!!! Good news, everyone! The video for "You Know You're Right" was released on Monday, October 14 and it fucking rocks!!! It shows mostly footage of Kurt in concert, backstage and other stuff. There are a few clips of the whole band together, and you can catch a few clips that were also in the Live! Sold Out! Tonight! movie. Whatever you do, I suggest you check it out, 'cause it's something you don't wanna miss!!!! Well everyone, the new CD came out back in early November and I got it.... as a gift from my boyfriend..... it's really a nice compilation with a cool little story kind of thing in the booklet. You should definitely go out and buy it if you haven't already, even if Courtney gets a profit. |
