She’d woken up in a dark place; So dark, that she hadn’t been sure if she’d even woken up at all. No light surrounded her, and the girl would whimper, rubbing the bruises on her arms and legs. Her fingers traced down her clothes, and she felt a wet and sticky substance coat them. She lifted her hand to her nose, and briefly sniffed at it.
It was blood.. But not hers.
This blood was different.
“Hiei-san... Hiei-san?” The girl shakily got to her knees, blindly groping in the dark to see if anyone was near. She found someone, but for some odd reason, she didn’t think it was him. Maybe it was the hair.
This hair was long. And this skin was cold.
“H-hello..?” The girl dropped to her knees, pulling the other body onto her lap.
It was a girl.
“Ne...Niisan...” Botan blinked, the voice was hoarse, and she could barely understand anything the girl said.
“Ano.. Who’s your brother..?”
“Niisan... Dai’suke..”

The ferry-girl woke up slowly this time, her head being seized by a throbbing migraine. Lifting a hand to her face, she moved to cover her eyes from the beams of light drifting through her window. Tucking a light blue lock behind her ear, she would finally remove her hand from her eyes, and gaze at the window.
It was still half open, in the same position he’d left it before doing so himself. The curtains fluttered in the wind, and the girl propped herself off of the bed and moved towards it.
As Botan approached, a finger went to brush her lips, a small blush soon tinting her cheeks and nose.
He hadn’t really done that... Had he? She closed the window, and turned to lean against it with a sigh. She licked her lips, and made herself turn away.
---
He could still feel the fire. She’d sent him a spark, and now he was lit.
And now he was gone.
And now the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting... in his tree. With a look of slight aggravation set on his features, because he was leaving. Soon. Very soon.
Just not yet.
He pulled a leg up to his chest, letting the other one stretch lazily out to the middle of the branch. One hand was set bent on his knee, and the other one draped to his side; fingers skimming the rough bark of the tree.
He sat there pondering for a few minutes, his eyes half lidded with his usual scowl of annoyance. God only knew what he was thinking about, though. And don’t ask me. I’m only the author, for gods sake.
But, sooner or later, the Koorime would exhale a breath he hadn’t known he’d been holding, and sprint from the tree with nothing but a flirt and flitter from the branches.
The gate to the Makai was only a few miles away. It’d take a normal human being at least two hours to get to it.
Which meant he’d be there in less than sixty seconds.

The ferry girl had taken off her uniform, and was now quietly bathing in her bathroom, hot water and lavender soap relaxing her senses. She was thinking about her dreams. The dreams she’d been having as of late; the ones where she woke up feeling confused and slightly incomplete.
The ones she forgot right when she opened her eyes.
Botan was also thinking about Hiei. She thought about the way he acted so cruelly in revenge for the cruelty he’d been dealt when young. His mannerisms, and how his aura shown with indifference. How he was alone, and pretended to like it better that way.
How much she wanted to Kiss him again...
The girl wrinkled her nose, blushing as she discarded that last thought. She soon stepped up from her bath, and wrapped a towel around herself, pausing to glance in the mirror on her way.
A bashful smile crept to her lips, as she quietly sprinted towards her drawers.
She has an idea.
Letting the towel drop to the ground, the girl began digging through her drawers for her cloak and a small bag. She needed to disguise herself, and leave before the Tantei found out...Before Koenma found out...
And before she stopped herself from going through with it.

Genkai paused mid sip, here rose hues glancing towards the window, and the sky beyond it, then closing her eyes. She placed her tea down on the table and uncrossed her legs, standing up, and smiling down at the ice Koorime who was now looking at her curiously.
“Genkai-sama...?” The Old woman smiled, motioning towards the door.
“Yukina, may I have a few moments to myself? Why don’t you go relax for a bit, hmm?” The girl, a puzzled look still on her features, got up with a small and headed towards the other rooms, saying something along the lines of ‘alright’ as she walked out.
Genkai paused again, walking towards the porch and opening the door. An eyebrow was raised at the cloaked figure before her whom was nervously biting her lip.
“What can I do for you, Botan?” The girl met her with a hesitant glance, her fingers clenching together so that the white of her knuckles was showing.
“Genkai-sama... I need a favor..-” She looked down for a moment, and then raised her head, a bit of a smile now being shown.
“I need.. a disguise.”

Gah, what a suckily short chapter that was x_X Not my best, but it will have to do until I can actually get the point through in the next chapter. This was basically a ‘transitioning’ chapter, or a filler, or whatever you want to call it. I promise the next chapter will be much better xX;;
But, until then, reviews make me happy. Yes, that was a hint ^^
