Yay! 125 reviews! Doumo Arrigatou Gozaimasou!
Disclaimer- I don’t own Inuyasha and Company. Kitty Studios and Takahashi-Sama does.
Summary- Kagome and Inuyasha were 5 and 6 years old when Inuyasha had to move away. They made a promise that they would never forget each other, and that someday they would meet again. But, 12 years later, When both attend the same college, will their memory fail them?
Genre- Humor, Romance, and other things that I’m too lazy to put down. Yes, this is an AU fiction. No whining now.
Additional notes: Hmmm.... Lots of you were threatening me about how Kagome had better not do anything with Kouga, and same to Kikyou and Inuyasha. One of you even thought Kouga was going to :ahem: ‘sleep’ with Kagome. Let me assure you that in this fiction, THIS WILL NEVER EVER HAPPEN. Ever. Not unless one of you - being a Kouga Kagome fan- comes over to my house, drugs me, and forces me with a whip to write out that scene.
I fear for my life if I gave anyone ideas.

Sango looked at the clock on her wall. It was almost midnight, and still no Kagome. Where could she have gone off too? A picture of Inuyasha flashes momentarily through her mind as she took another sip of her tea, and smiled.
“Those two have finally hit it off...” She mumbled, bringing the cup over to the sink and proceeding to her room.
~~~
Inuyasha smiled despite his mood. He had been with Kikyou all day, the very girl from his past, but all he found himself thinking about was Kagome. Why should he be thinking about Kagome? Inuyasha didn’t know, but it was starting to get to him.
“Inuyasha?” Kikyou asked, placing her hand across the table to cover his. Inuyasha came to attention. They were sitting in the middle of a somewhat fancy restaurant.
“Hai?” He asked. Kikyou sent him a look.
“You’ve been off in your own little world all night. What are you thinking about?” She asked, trying not to sound demanding. Inuyasha shook his head, slipping his hand away from hers.
“Nothing...” He lied, drinking his glass of lemonade. Kikyou glared. She knew he was thinking about that girl... Kagome or whatever. She would have to fix that.
“Inuyasha? Maybe we should go back to my place... and get to know each other better.” She said, winking. Inuyasha frowned. Now that wasn’t right...
“What are ya talking about? We’ve known each other since we were kids?” He reminded, somewhat irritated. Kikyou flinched.
“Um, yes I know, but ever since you moved, things could have taken place...” She thought, trying to come up with something. Inuyasha shrugged, looking annoyed.
Somehow... this wasn’t how he had planned spending time with the girl from his past.
“Look... I have to go.... I have classes tomorrow.” He said, getting up and putting his jacket back on. Kikyou looked desperate.
“I DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU SEE IN THAT GIRL, BUT I’M THE ONE YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO LOVE! NOT HER!” She yelled, slamming her fist against the table as she stood up. Everyone around the restaurant looked up in curiosity at the pair of glaring teenagers. Inuyasha just walked over and stared her straight in the eye.
“Your. Lying.” He realized, concealing his rage. Kikyou whimpered and looked down.
“It’s not my fault your such a fucking gullible freak. I had no idea what the hell you were rambling about, but I thought hey, why not play along. Y’know?” She mumbled, staring at her feet. Inuyasha brought his hand to his temple.
“Then.... What the fuck?! I’m leaving, you lying fucking bitch.” He growled, stomping out angrily. Kikyou through a glass of water at his direction, but all it hit was the door, as it was slammed closed.
Everyone in the restaurant sighed, and went back to their meals, as Kikyou stomped out, in a hissy- fitting rage.
Kagome lay sleeping on Kouga’s couch, as he sat at his table and studied for some pop quiz. Every once in a while he would spare her a glance, sigh, and rub his temple. After repeating this every five minutes for the past hour, he gave up and sat by her on the couch.
Kagome had her knees halfway drawn up her chest, her head cradled on two pillows, and her mouth slightly parted. Kouga groaned his misfortune. How come she had to have a crush on that.... That...well.... Dog?
Kouga jumped slightly as he heard the door to the dorm open. He glanced behind him as his friends walked in.
“Oi, Ginta. Hokkaku.” Kouga greeted, standing up. Ginta grinned.
“DUDE! I gotta steak! Sweet huh?” He exclaimed, taking out at least five T-bones from a grocery bag. Hokkaku nodded.
“Want one?... Oh. I see you already have a feast for tonight...?” He chuckled, gesturing towards the sleeping Kagome. Kouga moaned sadly.
“I wish. I’m merely offering her a shoulder to lean on.” He grumbled, starting to dig his way through the grocery bag. Hokkaku laughed.
“Help me cook this damn thing.” Ginta commanded, taking out several pots and pans. Hokkaku and Ginta nodded, and all three proceeded to move wildly around the kitchen in preparations.
(A/N- ^^; Kouga, Ginta and Hokkaku are Professional cooks. C’mon, you gotta see the humor!)
From somewhere in the house, the can -can song started playing... and that’s when the three friends broke into rhythmic dancing/cooking moves...
And this is what Kagome woke up too. One guy shaking his butt and flipping three steaks in a frying pan, while chopping onions with his other hand. Kouga chopping up raw steak so quickly... that you couldn’t really see it.... And that malicious glint in his eyes...well... sorta freaked her out.... And then there was the tiny fact that the other guy was playing with the veggies.... Like they were dancing people...
“Um. Kouga-Kun?” Kagome mumbled, getting up and letting the blanket fall off of her. All three looked up in unison as Kagome hesitantly approached them. The one with the short hair and the weird streak through it approached her first.
“Konbanwa Kagome-san! Would you like some of the delicious food we are making?” He asked, striking a pose towards a now full table of steak involved foods. Kagome sweat dropped, looking at Kouga nervously.
“Y-.... You can cook?” She asked meekly. Kouga grinned proudly.
“Of course! What kind of man doesn’t know how to cook?” He asked, as if it was a stupid question.
Kagome thought back to the time when she saw Inuyasha eating McDonalds and face faulted.
“I guess so...”
“So you’ll eat?” Hokkaku asked with puppy dog eyes. Kagome smiled despite herself. She knew Kouga and his friends were probably trying to help her feel better, and the food did look very yummy...
“I guess it wouldn’t hurt....”
“YEAH!” They all yelled triumphantly, cutting kagome off, pulling out a chair and sitting her in a seat.
~~~
Dawn... so about 5 and a half hours later...
~~~
Kagome was asleep on the couch, sandwiched between Ginta and Hokkaku, while Kouga was halfway sleeping on the coffee table, while the rest of his body was on the carpet.
Various plates, dishes, bowls, cup and cocktail glasses were lying in a giant mound on the sink, but other than that, the dorm was pretty clean. (
A/N- NO. Kagome did NOT get drunk. Haven’t you ever heard of shrimp and cocktail sauce?)
Kagome woke up, feeling rather full and content. She smiled at her new friends, and squirmed out of their squeeze, and tip toed towards the door. Kagome was thankful for the comfort that Kouga had given her.... But her mind was once again set on Inuyasha. & Kikyou. Mostly Inuyasha.
So she left Kouga a note, and crept out of the door and back towards the one she shared with Sango. Little did she know just whom she’d bump into on the way...
Oi! Many of you seem to be worried about the pairings of this fic? Didn’t I explain myself up there in the summary, hmm? This is not a Kagome Kouga fic. Nor is it an Inuyasha Kikyou fic. Now, having that in mind, try and come up with the pairings yourselves, Baka. Lol, kidding. Anyways, I want a good number of reviews, or I won’t update.
PS- Tee Hee! I’m so happy! I ordered episodes 39- 102 of Inuyasha off
