OK! Chapter 2! yay!
Disclaimer, I don’t Own Miroku, and company. I own Ryo. HANDS OFF! lol
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everyone sat in awkward silence. They were now inside one of the huts, and had started a fire, in which no one had spoken a single word. Miroku was off in one corner, deep in thought, and avoiding all eye contact with everyone in the room.
Sango had a fiancé.... And she never told anyone... Miroku’s thoughts were a turmoil. Why hadn’t she told him, or anyone else for the matter? Did she fear rejection? had she thought he had died? Had she even agreed to becoming his fiancé? If not, then why was she acting this way? Miroku could do nothing, but let his thoughts swirl, until one thought halted all others.
And... What about...us?
Inuyasha and Kagome tossed each other worried glances, as Kagome finished putting medicine onto the mans back. Both were sending a message to each other, as if praying that this whole thing had never happened.
Reality Check...please?
Sango stood in the far corner, away from everyone. She had stopped crying soon after they had entered the hut, but she couldn’t keep the hurt from her heart.
He thinks... he thinks he can just come waltzing up? Take me back...after all these years? He can’t do this! he cant! ....I was told he went away... he left, without saying goodbye.... I told myself, Told myself I hated him... But that was a lie... And now. Now, after 7 years of his absence.... he thinks he has the right to come back? And.... and do I have the strength to tell him to leave?
Sango pondered on these thoughts, and let her gaze settle on the figure in the corner opposite of her own.
Houshi-sama.....Miroku.... She bit her lip. She had to admit, she had been thinking about him a lot lately... But did all that have to change now. Just because...he... had entered the picture.
“Ryo... Why are you here?” She asked quietly, breaking the tense silence that had congested the room. The man blinked, and sent a warm smile towards her.
“Ah.... So the lady finally speaks.” He murmured, still smiling.
That smile...So many memories....NO! I won’t let him!
Sango Glared at him, and stood up, pointing her boomerang threateningly.
“I asked you a question asshole. Now, why are you here!?” She all but spat. The man- Ryo- lifted an amused eyebrow.
“So much for a warm welcome...” He muttered. Sango had to resist from killing him right then on the spot.
First he plays with my heart, then he leaves, and now he’s back and teasing me!? MUST KILL!
“I believe Lady-Sango asked you a question.” A soft voice murmured from the corner. Sango cast her gaze down in guilt, and Ryo didn’t fail to notice it.
“Oh really? Did she?” Ryo all but snarled. Miroku contained his anger.
“Yes I believe she did, but seeing as your not very attentive, I wouldn’t have expected you to hear it.” He retorted.
“Oh? Really? And what, pray tell did she ask?” He growled.
“She asked what the hell your doing here bastard!” Inuyasha roared from the corner. Kagome sighed, and placed a soothing hand on his shoulder, and Inuyasha seemed to become a little more restrained.
“Well, I’ve come to find what I’ve lost.” He said simply, standing up and taking Sango’s hands. Sango turned pink, and did the only intelligible thing that came to mind.
“JERK!”
*SLAP*
Ryo was now on the ground, rubbing his cheek, and frowning,
“Um... You got stronger...” he murmured. Sango growled, and had to have Kagome restrain her from beating him more to a pulp than he already was.
“Will you tell me why your here, the real reason?!
“If I must...” He said. Miroku stepped in, jabbing his staff at him.
“Oh, I think you should.” He threatened. Ryo smiled, and stepped before Sango, going down on one knee. Miroku’s heart clenched with fear. Surely he wasn’t...
“Sango-Chan...” Ryo started taking her palm. Sango wavered, trying to look anywhere else but at him, but when she did this, she caught Miroku’s Intense stare. She sent him an apologetic look, though he seemed unfazed, somehow Sango knew that this little reunion was taking it’s toll on Miroku.
“...I would like to know if you would reconsider my long ago proposal for marriage.”
