No, I don’t own YuYu Hakusho or its characters. But I DO own Naomi, mine, mine, and mine!

“Come on botan, you can do it!” Keiko encouraged
“But which one?” Botan complained
Keiko looked through the box of discs, picked one, and popped it into the machine. She then dragged botan up onto the stage. Taking the microphone, she pulled botan over and made an announcement.
“Welcome everyone to the sixth annual karaoke blast! All you have to do is put your name on a slip and place it the box over there.” She stopped and briefly pointed to a decorated cardboard box in the corner.
“We will be picking random people from the box. Our first performer this evening will be the pretty blue haired girl to my left. She is going to be singing ‘soak up the sun’. Good luck!” Kaiko handed the microphone to botan, who hesitantly took it and started to sing. The whole crowd was watching her, even her friends! She’d better not mess up.
“My friends a communist.
Holds meeting in Azarbi.
I can’t afford his gas,
So I’m stuck here watching TV.
I don’t have digital,
I don’t have diddley-squat.
It’s not having what you want, Its wanting what you’ve got1
I’m, I’m gonna soak up the sun
I’m gonna tell everyone to lighten up!
I’m gonna tell them that I’ve, I’ve got no one to blame
For every time I feel lame, I’m looking up!”
And so went the song. Botan ended it and took her bow then got off stage. Keiko then dragged up Yukina, and in the crowd you could see a young man with orange hair holding a sign that read ‘Yukina rules! The rest of you suck!’
Keiko once again walked on stage and took the microphone.
“Thanks for that lively song botan. Now it’s Yukina's turn. She will be singing...” Keiko looked at Yukina expectantly, Yukina just blinked and shrugged. Keiko turned beet-red.
“Umm, well it look’s like the song’s title shall remain unknown GOOD LUCK!” She handed yukina the microphone, and quickly got off stage. Yukina took the mic, studied it and blinked at Keiko. Laughter was heard from a few people in the crowd, but was cut short by an angry kuwabara. Keiko, meanwhile, was mouthing something and yukina understood. She turned the mic over in her hands and pressed a button, and started singing.
“Making my way down town
Walking fast
Faces pass and I’m home bound.
Staring at me pass
Just making a way
Making my way through the crowd.
And I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder
If I could fall, into the sky
Do you think time, Would pass me by?
Cause you know I’d walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you...tonight.”
The crowd was surprised. Despite the earlier mess, this girl was a great vocal singer. When the song was over, the crowd applauded and clapped. Kuwabara was crying with joy, thinking the song had been dedicated to him. Mistake! Guess who it was really for? That person knew it was for him and was silently cursing to himself while polishing his katana. Keiko went back onstage clapping.
“Well that was a great song and performance. But now for our next singer...” She read a bit off a little piece of paper. After having a look of pure disbelief for like five minutes, she turned red, dropped the Mic and fell to the stage floor laughing. The crowd started muttering about the horrible hostess who was keeping them in suspense.
Yukina was still onstage and looked worriedly down at Keiko, who was on her knees, head thrown back in hysterical giggles. Yukina took the paper and looked at it.
“What’s wrong with that?”Yukina queried. Keiko laughed harder. Yukina frowned deeper then paused. She bent down to the fallen Mic and pushed it’s button.
“Uh... Do to, err, difficulties I will be announcing the next, umm, group who will be singing. Will the Reikai Tantei’ please report to the stage? That includes yusuke urameshi, kazuma kuwabara, hiei, kurama and koenma. Um, they will be singing ‘story of a girl’? yeah...that’s it. but while they prepare we will be taking a brief intermission, doumo.” she put down the mic and dragged keiko off the stage.
