I looked out off my balcony with curious wide eyes. This world was new to me. It differed greatly from the Makai. peaceful. No one wanted her disposed of or dead, no enemies here. She frowned and turned back to her bedroom. The music blared loudly from her stereo.
“... You ask me why I gotta play so hard to get, yeah. You ask me to play it cool just to make you sweat, yeah. You want some kind of explanation I can give: It’s just a chick thing, that your messing with! To me it’s black and white but it’s not getting through to you! That’s what girls do, they keep you guessing the whole day through! Play your emotions, push all your buttons it’s true! THAT’S WHAT GIRLS DO!...”
Music. Another new, yet familiar she had encountered here.
I can’t believe I’m a teenager, but just now learning all this. I thought irritably.
My thoughts were disturbed as there was a knocking on my door.
“What?” I growled, not to friendly.
“I come in peace and bear hot chocolate.” responded a friendly voice from outside that I immediately recognized.
“Come on in kurama.” I said more politely this time
He opened the door and came in with a tray with 2 mugs of Coa -Coa and a plate of cookies. He was wearing a dark green sweater and blue jeans. He frowned when he saw me.
“Aren’t you cold in that?” he asked, concern showing in his voice.
“What’s cold?” I questioned with curiosity, looking down at my clothing. Dark blue spaghetti strap belly shirt, short jean short’s.
“I feel numb.” I stated starting to shiver.
“That’s what cold is. And besides I don’t blame you. Look outside.” he ordered jokingly, pulling warmer clothes from my closet.
Meanwhile I was cautiously approaching my window. I peered out, and was shocked at what I saw.
~authors note: some people would envelope the scenic picture that Celeste saw out her window. They would say it was like a “large white blanket covering the world with beauty.”. But not Celeste.
“Kurama! Hurry, call the gang! Some one stole the worlds color!” I screamed horrifically. I looked at kurama who was all hunched over, hugging his stomach and making strange noises, similar to the noises of a dying bunny.
“Oh my god kurama! WHAT HAPPENED? Are you okay!?” I screeched rushing over to him. I tried helping him up but saw that his face was flushed red. He took one look at me and fell over laughing. I stood over him shaking with anger. ‘ Why the hell was he laughing!? AT ME!?’
I flared vividly with anger, kurama saw me and laughed harder. Crossing my arms I ran out of the cabin. It was cold. I was more numb. But I didn’t stop running.
‘Why did kurama drag me into the middle of no where? He said it would be nice to ‘get away’, and that a cabin trip would be fun. Che, yeah maybe for him.’
I was approaching the forest that surrounded the site, and wondered what to do. There were two choices.
a) Go into the forest, get lost and die of hunger
or
b) Go back to kurama’s cabin with no sense of pride or dignity.
Celeste bit her lip and ran, tremblingly, into the wilderness.
