| Advent Chapter 11- The last hurt
"Midgar. A broken city trying to rise from the ashes." "So poetic." "Will you two focus? This will be the final battle." ------------------------------------- Cloud laid in his bed. He hadn't slept, ate, drank, or gotten up for about two days. he just... laid there. Staring at the ceiling. And then he was gone. No warning, just... gone. His clothes packed, a box of bandages gone, his bike missing. Tifa searched everywhere she could think. Which is why she currently was staring a box with a bloody wrap. She never expected him to come here.... Of all places.... Never here. But he had..... ------------------------------------- Flower still grew here. The hole in the ceiling was still there. The stained glass still was in the windows. Aerith's church hadn't changed at all. Tifa could almost see her friend tending to the flowers, looking up and smiling. "Tifa!" A voice called to her from across the room. She looked towards it. Marlene waved at her and pointed. Tifa nodded and walked towards the little girl. Marlene picked up a stray bandage and peered up at Tifa as she aproached. "Is Cloud sick?" She asked the older woman. Tifa turned her head. "He's off to fight again..." "Fight?" "No... not to fight....." Tifa spoke in a whisper. Cloud was off- "To Die. He can't put up much of a fighting spirit if he can't pick up his sword." ------------------------------------- He hoped he got what he needed. It's been a while since he ate. Cloud sighed. He wished they'd clean up the roads. His ear twitched as sounds of another bike approached at a fast speed. "Man just what I need... A speed demon...." Cloud moved over to the bike through. Once it got far enough away it spun around facing him. Because of it's speed it still went it's original direction. Cloud glared at the bike hoping it would blow up when something caught his eye. The glint.... of a gun. Cloud whipped out his sword just as he heard the first shot. Two more shots were fired. [A three shot combo..... that must mean.] He looked up as the bike righted itself and came towards him, the rider's silver hair blowing behind him. "Yazuu!" ------------------------------------- Tifa ducked, punched, blocked, kicked, decked, and jabbed Loz in the face but he still kept going. She was starting to get tired of this dance. She wasn't like she used to be. Two years of being a bar wench put her out of shape. She started a rapid combo not giving him a chance to block or dodge. He just got hit. She ended it with a kick to the head. Loz hit the floor hard but started to laugh. "That all you got girly? You're worse then the chocobo head! At least he's probably giving my brother a good fight. I'm bored!" Loz smirked. Tifa growled and threw a punch. He... caught it.... She threw another punch. He grabbed her wrist before it made contact. "Do you like to spin?" He laughed again and started spinning as fast as he could. Tifa's legs came off the ground as she flew around in a circle. Then he let go and she flew. Right into a wall. ------------------------------------- "See Mr. President? Your friends can't help you....." Kadaj watched as Loz sprinted towards Tifa who was falling down from the wall. Kadaj grinned as Loz pummelled her into the dirt, blood flying here and there. "Why are you doing this?" The wheelchair figure asked. He was digusted by the sight. Kadaj turned to face him. "I want to make you suffer as much as possible." ------------------------------------- Cloud swung his sword at Yazuu with as much force as he could. Yazuu block it with his gun. The bikes began to spin and pick up speed. Cloud was definately getting sick. He could feel it in his stomach. "What's a matter? Motion Sickness got you down?" "Shut up or I'll puke on you...." Cloud tried to say with as strait a face as he could. He was going to puke. 1.... 2....... 3. "OH MY GOD THAT'S DISGUSTING!!!" Cloud knew he won this battle by the look on Yazuu's face as Yazuu flew off his bike. Well at least he felt better. ------------------------------------- "TIFA!!!" Loz stopped what he was doing as a shrill little girl voice reached his ears. He turned. Marlene stood with fear on her face. Hmm.... Maybe he could have a little fun. He stood up and started to walk towards her. Tifa watched in fear. "CLOUD!!!" Marlene yelled hoping that the man would be around. "Sorry girly. Cloudy's not here." "RUN!!!" Tifa yelled as she saw Loz reach for the girl before she blacked out. ------------------------------------- The church seemed odd. Cloud couldn't place it. He smelled blood. He continued walking down the pues till something caught his eye. "Tifa?" He turned. She didn't answer. Cloud got worried as he stepped closer. "...Tifa?" Now he could see why he smelt blood. It was everywhere.... coming from her. "TIFA!!!" Cloud broke into a run and slid onto his knees as he got to her. Gently he picked her up. Tifa opened her eyes as she felt hands on her shoulders. "Cloud..... I knew.... Yaz..uu... couldn't kill.... you..." "Shh.... hold on. Don't try to speak." "Mar.....lene....she's... Loz......." Tifa's eye fluttered. "No Tifa... don't die...." "Save......Denzel...." Tifa's eyes shut and Cloud screamed. |
