Mastiff Test Page 2
The Mastiff in all its glory.
Note the extra 55 watt light mounted on the forks - this will help considerably.
Spring '00:  March 1st and its 70 degress in St.Paul - a new record high, lots of bikes out.

The next thing to do is to fix the seat. After a quick trip of 75 miles, my butt was shot. I emailed MuZ and they recommended Sargent Cycle to fix it. I called and the bottom line is yes they can - for about $250.00.  Then again, it might just be me as I read a test on the Black Panther and they said the seat was "all day comfort" and I don't think they changed anything.

June '00: Well, I just haven't ridden this thing much due to time and I like to use the tailpack on the Tour for communting. Just did the 1st oil change and adjust the chain and thats it.

August '01  Not many miles on the bike, actually I never put insurance on the thing this year as I've been riding the Tour and picked up a new '01 Suzuki Bandit 600.

June '03 The Mastiff is gone. It has been sold to a gentleman in Trinidad (that's right - Trinidad)  I'll stand by my previous word that this is one fun motorcycle. I just never seemed to get around to ride it.  No sense to just sit there.  We'll see if we can't get a update every now and then just to keep you posted.

October '03 Update from Trinidad:
"The Mastiff is unreal. It is such a pleasure to ride, and such a talking point as well.  Sunday morning I headed out with my riding buddy Mike, he runs a 2001 Yamaha R1. Most Sundays we do an early run to the North Coast of Trinidad.  It's about a 35K run each way.  It's twisty, scenic, smooth and empty until about 10:00... it's like the bike was made for it.  I've played with the tire pressure and a few other things but other than that it is as sold, this bike is tailor made for me."  Bike owner Ian.

Note from Jim: Glad to see the bike used in its natural environment!
