Finally once again Ahmed Nawzad and Sindi Wallat stepped on the field to play the game! Both players had surgeries early in the year of 2004. On friday, they were able to run and play in a friendly game at the StarFire field. They are looking forward to join the team for the future tournaments.

KURDISTAN
Ahmed, Nawzad under went an hour surgery for his left knee. He had a torn meniscus in his left knee. The surgery went pretty well and the doctor expected his return to sports in about 4-6 weeks.

Ahmed, Nawzad was placed on the injured list because of a torn Lateral Meniscus in his left knee.  A surgery is expected to take place soon.

Three players were voted out and waived by the team due to poor performance on the field and ongoing issues with players and management.  The players are Abdulkader Jalak, Hariri Karwan and Suseyi Hama.

After little more than two hours in the surgery room, the surgery was finally complete for Sindi, Wallat.  His surgeon said the surgery went fine.  He is expected to walk on crutches for 2-3 weeks.  A piece of medal was placed in his leg, all theway from his knee to ankle, tightened with four screws.

On Sunday (02-08-04), just one day before his 18th birthday, Sindi Wallat broke his shin bone in two different spots.  He was playing for his former club, Impacts, trying out for state.  Twenty minutes into the game, Impacts were down 0-2 and then the accident happened.  When Sindi Wallat was taken to the Emergency by an ambulance, Sulaiman Sulaiman (also playing for Impacts) got red hot!  He scored four goals and brought a great 4-2 victory for his team!  For Sindi Wallat, surgery will take place today.  He is expected to miss 8-10 weeks.
