Christopher Tisreall, Deputy Foreign Minister of the German Government and a leading
member of the Social Democratic Party, visited  representative of Kurdistan Regional
Government (KRG) in Germany Mr. Dilshad Barzani to convey condolences of his
government to Mr. Masoud Barzani and the KDP leadership.  This visit was reported
yesterday by the KDP publication, Khabat

Below is text of the letter handed to the KRG representative Dilshad Barzani.

Dear President (Masoud) Barzani and The KDP Leadership:

Representing the German Government, I have come to convey our condolences to you and
all members and friends in the KDP.   For many years, the KDP has been staging a true and
just struggle for the sake of peace and freedom for Kurdish people and has given thousands
of sacrifices. We believe the enemy's use of terror to stop the struggle of Kurds and KDP is
doomed to fail. The assassination of Franso Hariri is a great loss for Kurdish people and
KDP. However, we believe your political wisdom will succeed and so will the cause of your
people. We sympathize with you and wish you success in your mission."
