Iranian arrested for smuggling 81 Iraqi Kurds into Greece

KOMOTINI, Greece, Feb 20 (AFP) -  An Iranian truck driver was
arrested Tuesday for trying to smuggle 81 Iraqi Kurdish immigrants into
Greece, police said.

Mohamed Aflanzadeh, a 32-year-old resident of Tehran, was arrested after
crossing the Greek border with Turkey. Police alleged he was taking the
immigrants to Athens in exchange for a payment of 162,000 dollars.
He will be charged with human trafficking.

The Kurds will be expelled, police said.
