Birthplace: Yamagataken, Japan
Zodiac Sign: Taurus
Blood Type: A
Marital Status: Currently married to Naoko Takeuchi
Description:
Mr. Togashi (apart from being my eternal mentor ^.^) is a fabulous Manga-Ka (manga artist) and is the author of variety of brilliant mangas apart from Hunter X Hunter. His drawings vary from one drawing to the other (try and compare Yu Yu Hakusho with Hunter X Hunter, you'll find a huge difference). He's known for making stories that seem to revolve around myths and the occult, and usually, his characters and style go far deeper than what meets the eye. Which brings me to the conclusion that he's gravely intelligent (as if the plots and situations aren't brilliant enough!). He's currently working for Shounen Jump Weekly.
Miscellaneous Information:
Mr. Togashi is married to Naoko Takeuchi, the just as brilliant author or Sailor Moon. They were engaged on August 21, 1998 and were wed on January 6, 1999. And they make such a cute pair too! ^.^
Works:
Ookami Nante Kowakunai! (I'm Not Afraid Of Wolf!) - Published in 1989, this is Togashi-sama's debut work that includes different kinds of short stories.
Ten De Shouwaru Cupid (Wicked Cupid) - Published in 1989 and ran up to the mid-90's. This Contains four manga volumes and is shown in Shounen Jump Weekly.
Yu Yu Hakusho (Poltergeist Report) - My favorite anime of all time!!! Kurama's just plain droolable, and I swear it with my whole life! And I also happily swear that's it's filled with other different bishies (ie: Hiei, Shishiwakamaru, Yomi, etc.). This is so far Togashi-sama most famous work wherein his art style ranges differently from one scene to the next. It consists of 19 volumes and ran from 1990-1994.
Level E - Published in 1995-1997 in Shounen Jump. A fantasy story that consists of three manga volumes.
Hunter X Hunter - *wide grin* Well, what can I say, Togashi-sama never loses his touch! First published in 1998, Togashi-sama comes back to his cutesy art style but still retains his reputation with the beautifully renderred fighting scenes. A lot of people say that it's almost like YYH, but really, I think it's different ^_^ Still bloody brilliant though ^__________^
