STORY AND PLOT

The story revolves around a young boy named Gon. He lives with his Aunt Mito, thinking that his parents were dead. But one day, he was attacked and was saved by a man by the name of Kaitou, who introduced himself to be a follower of Jin. Gon then finds out that this "Jin" is his father. Upon knowing that he was alive, he began to want to meet his father, even if his aunt refused to let him go.

To find his father, Gon decided to become a Hunter. Aboard the ship towards the place where the Hunter Exam would be held, he met a young man by the name of Kurapika, a sole survivor of a certain group of people, who wants to be a Hunter to avenge his clan. Gon then met Leorio later on, who seems to be a bit of a jerk and is filled with wise-ass and tactless cracks every now and then. Kurapika and Leorio doesn't seem to be in good terms just yet, funny how they somehow became sort of like best friends later on, ne? ^_^'

During the Exam, Gon then met a boy named Killua. It's only a bit later on when he finds out that this boy is a part of a family of assassins from the north. But that wasn't before he and Killua became the best of friends. By the time Gon passed the exam...I suggest you see for yourself ^_^ Hunter X Hunter is yet another brilliant story filled with complexities and the like, a true trademark of Mr. Yoshihiro Togashi.
