Jin Freeces Name: Jin Freeces
Role: Gon's father
Description: Jin is Gon's father. He is a Hunter, and he is also the same person whom Gon wishes to see. Jin is very well-known in the Hunter Association, and he is one of those whose profile and information are held confidential. By rank, he is a 2-star Hunter, but it is said that he had exceeded the qualifications even of being a 3-star Hunter. Because of this, Gon gets more and more interested and is determined to find Jin.
Aunt Mito Name: Mito (Aunt Mito)
Role: Gon's aunt (mother side)
Description: Mito is a young, single aunt who raised Gon as her own son. She is very kind, motherly if you may. She lives quietly in Whale Island with Gon (before anyway) and an old woman (her mother), and she is also the one who signed the papers so Gon can become a Hunter. She cares for Gon and obviously loves him very much. She seems to be a bit angry with Jin, because she believes that he is an irresponsible father and brother-in-law.
Grandma Name: Grandma (I don't know the name ^^;)
Role: Gon's granny (mother side)
Description: She lives with Gon and Mito back in Whale Island. She doesn't talk much, but she seems to be very nice and sweet. She cares for Gon and Mito, just like a mother/grandmother should. She is the one who helped Gon convince Mito to give him a test so he can join in the Hunter Exam.
Kaitou Name: Kaitou
Role: Jin's follower
Description: Kaitou introduces himself as Jin's follower. He is an excellent fighter, and he was the one who saved Gon's life when he was little, attacked by a fox-bear. He is also the one who told Gon that his father was still alive, and gave him Jin's license card. He seems to have a lot of respect for Jin, and wishes Gon well if ever he plans to be a Hunter.
Hanzo the Ninja Name: Hanzo
Role: One of the applicants who passed the Hunter Exam
Description: Hanzo is a light-hearted blabbermouth of a ninja, to put things simply. He likes to talk about himself and his secrets. But in fairness, he goes by the rule of being a ninja and is strong in his own way. He can be serious one minute and extremely genki in the next. He made friends with the other Hunters (except for Hisoka and Illumi anyway) and invited all of them to visit his home when they all went apart.
Pokkuru Name: Pokkuru
Role: One of the applicants who passed the Hunter Exam
Description: Among all the applicants who passed the Hunter Exam, Pokkuru seems to be the weakest of them. Killua even refused to fight him during their match because of the 'lack of challenge', or so it was put. He became a Hunter simply because Killua let him win. Pokkuru feels that he doesn't deserve the license, so now he's living his life trying to be stronger so he'd be worth the license he holds.
Wing-san Name: Wing
Role: Gon and Killua's sensei in learning nen
Description: Wing is the one who taught Gon and Killua the arts of nen. The two met him and his student, Zucchi, while they were trying to earn money inside the Sky Arena. He is kind-hearted and VERY understanding. Also, he is wise beyond words, and he seems to love his students very much. He's the kind of character whom you'll regret meeting only for a few episodes ;_;
Zucchi Name: Zucchi
Role: Wing's student, Gon and Killua's friend
Description: Zucchi is the young (and very young) student of Wing. He kind of gives me the impression that he's Wing's son or brother, who knows? All we know is that he is his devoted student, and he treats Wing with a lot of respect. They can be pretty cute too, because Wing treats Zucchi the same way. Also, Zucchi has a lot of respect towards Gon and Killua, and never ceases to admire their progress while learning nen. He is a very kind-hearted kid. Again, yet another character wasted in only but a few episodes *sighs sadly*.
[ No Image ] Name: Shisyo
Role: Kurapika's sensei in learning nen
Description: He seems to be a very patient man, being that he was able to teach Kurapika how to use his nen even through the boy's stubborness ^^; He is also kind-hearted (great teachers this anime has, doesn't it?) and understanding, and he was able to feel Kurapika's purpose for being a Hunter (to seek revenge) without Kurapika telling him. He's also a bit funny, especially when he said something about Kurapika calling him "master" only when he needed something from him ^^ He tries to stop Kurapika in his pursuit for revenge.
