Kurapika

Name: Kurapika / Curarpikt (Kurapica, Clapika, Clapikt, etc.)
Age: 17
Birthday: April 4
Birthplace: Rukuso Region
Sex: Male (I'll punch if you think otherwise)
Height: 171 cm
Weight: 59 kg
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Brown (tea colored) in the manga, blue/green in the series. His eyes turn red though when he feels strong emotions, a sign of being a member of the Kuruta clan.
Blood Type: AB
Weapon:
      >> Kan - looks like two swords attached by a chain (lost during his fight with Hisoka).
      >> Unbreakable Chain - a set of chains attached to his right hand which is controlled AND made up of his nen.
Nen:
Gugenka (Embodying) mainly. But whenever his eyes turn red, his nen type turns to Tokushitsu (Special). As the name says, this nen type is a special kind of nen that goes beyond the common types. In Kurapika's case, he can use all nen types in their 100% strength *proud, heart-shaped eyes*. This type of nen Kurapika has is called Enpera Taimu (Emperor Time). See below for more explanation regarding Kurapika's nen and weapon.
Personality:
Usually silent and mysterious, he keeps a lot to himself and prefers to work alone. Though not necessarily deadly when it comes to friendliness and the like, very few people get the chance to know him because of his aloof behavior. Strong-willed and vengeful, his only goal is to seek vengeance for his tribe and destroy the Geneiryodan to the point of obssession. The smartest in the group, he has a very sharp mind and knows what to do in any kind of situation, thus gaining the most respect among the four. He's made to kill when angry though, literally.
Story:
The only remaining member of the Kuruta Tribe. Kuruta members are well known for their eyes. Their eyes turn into a bright red color when they're either angry, afraid, etc, plainly feeling strong emotions. And whenever a tribe member dies with his eyes in that scarlet state, they stay that way permanently. The tribe got swiped out by the Geneiryodan (Phantom Brigade), who killed the whole group and stole all their eyes for profit. It wasn't stated how Kurapika survived, but he's the only remaining member and swore to avenge his tribe by destroying the Geneiryodan.
Reason for being a Hunter:
Being a Hunter, a person can do a lot of things and can go to many places without having much trouble. Kurapika decided that if he became a Hunter, his search for the Geneiryodan would be quicker, and may also train him to be stronger to be able to avenge his tribe.
Hunter Exam Pin Number: 404
Seiyuu: Kaida Yuki
More information on Kurapika's nen:
Each of Kurapika's fingers have different chains, designated for different jobs. The only finger that he doesn't use seems to be his forefinger (which I think, is weird since we all seem to use the forefinger quite often, don't we? ^_^'). Anyway, here are the list of the chain abilities:
      >> Thumb - This chain is called the Hori Chien (Holy Chain). Kurapika mainly is Gugenka type, so according to the rules of nen, there is a chance for Kurapika to be able to use Kyouka. But this Kyouka type of nen ability can only be used for about 60%. But since Kurapika has the ability to become Tokushitsu when his eyes turn red, he can also use this Kyouka type of power in its 100% (look back on his battle with Ubougin). Now, what does this have to do with Holy Chain? Er...*sweatdrops*, nothing XP But at least I explained the Kyouka part, hehe!
      >> Middle Finger - This chain is called the Chien Jieiru (Chain Jail). This is most probably the very chain all Kurapika fans are afraid of. Mainly since this is exclusively to be used on Geneiryodan members, because our beloved bishounen here swore to avenge his tribe, too much that he would risk his own life just to be strong enough. Anyway, Chain Jail has the ability to make the victim (a Ryodan member obviously) use Zetsu and stop the flow of aura all in all. So they're practically defenseless against attacks, one must use nen to defend himself if ever attacked with nen. Heh, cool huh? We can only wish Kurapika would get what he wants without dying...*cringes*.
      >> Ring Finger - This chain is called the Daujing Chien (Dowsing Chain). True to its name, this gives Kurapika the ability to find what he's looking for. An example of this is in the testing room in the Nostrard's where Kurapika found out who the spy was using the chain in his ring finger. The chain will shake when the one Kurapika is looking for is in front of him. Also, this is the chain with a sphere on the tip ^_^
      >> Little Finger - This one is called the Jiajimento Chien (Judgement Chain). This is the chain that has the cool sword-like tip ^_^ Unlike the Chain Jail, Kurapika can use this on anyone, and he wouldn't die. Kurapika mainly uses Gugenka on this because he can create that sword-like tip and have it pierced through the heart of his victim (he also has one on himself, being true to his word that he wouldn't use Chain Jail against others unless they're a member of the Geneiryodan). On others, examples would be Hisoka and Pakunoda, Kurapika will make a rule, and with or without this person's consent, will wind a chain around that person's heart. The victim will be safe unless he breaks the rules (Hisoka's alive because he abided with what Kurapika told him to, while Pakunoda died because she went against what was ordered).
