Personality:
      Warm-hearted and friendly, Gon is a determined young boy who has a big heart and a high spirit. He sets goals for himself and strives to achieve them. He is a friend to everybody, may it be a small animal from the forest he used to play in or one of his own opponents in battle.
Story:
      Gon is the main character of the series. He lives with his Aunt Mito, who had been the one taking care of him ever since he was a baby. She would always tell him that his parents were dead. But when Gon was about 9, he was attacked by a bear and was saved by a man named Kaitou. Kaitou introduced himself as one of Jin's (Gon's father) followers, and that Jin was missing. When Gon found out that his father was alive, he went back to his Aunt Mito who, at first, refused to let him go. But later on, he was allowed to take the Hunter Exam and thus beginning Gon's life as a Hunter.
Reason for being a Hunter:
      Gon is in search for Jin, his father, who had left him in the care of his Aunt Mito. Jin is a legendary Hunter, so Gon decided that if he passes the Hunter Exam and becomes a Hunter, he'll gain access to a lot of information about his father.
