| Chapter 5 The feel of a cool bath made him calm and less aggravated. He enjoyed looking up into the early morning sky where it was still dark. He could smell the morning approaching. Very slowly he got he got out of the pond and set his feet upon the green grass. With nothing but darkness to cover his skin Sesshomaru walked from his bath to his castle. His magnificent body glowing in the moonlight, he walked up a set of stairs and into a hallway. There he pulled in front of him a door, behind a painting, and opened it, then entered. Once inside he walked over to a largely decorated bed. On it, sat his kimono and armor. He set the armor aside and put on his clothes. His body was still partly wet and so his kimono became saturated quickly. Lying across the bed Sesshomaru just looked at the ceiling. His yellow eyes still and calm like that of a dog ready to make and attack. A light knock came to his door and a frown crossed his lips. Do not bother me nowJyaken. The knocking ceased, but he could still smell his frog like aura. This angered him and Sesshomaru got up to answer the door. What is it Jyaken? Lord Sesshomaru, I do not mean to disturb you but there is a terrible disturbance in the air. There are portals leading from this world to the human and other demon worlds. If the portals spread anymore there is no telling what may happen to this land or the others. So, he has decided to continue with his idea to rule both the human and demon realm? I was wondering when Acro was going to come through on his threat. Lord Sesshomaru since you defeated him nearly fifty years ago he was banished to the realm of the artic abyss. He more than likely will attack here first to conquer the demon realm. Sesshomaru looked upon Jyaken with differing eyes. He smiled softly at him. Ah! Lord Sesshomaru please dont look at me like that. I am wrong, I am sorry, I wont do it again, please forgive me my lord, I meant only to- Sesshomaru had stepped over Jyaken while he was ranting and raving. He walked down his long and wide halls, passed paintings, and many diaphanous drapes, which covered the frames of many doors. Jyaken stood up from his bowing position, grabbed Sesshomarus armor from the bed, and went looking for him. He had already taken the, Tenseiga and put it within the belt of his kimono. On foot he headed for the Crying Mountains. If what Jyaken said was true, they would have to prepare to fight. More than likely it would be alone, but he had to seek out what allies, if any, were still alive. The morning had made its presence known with a brightly lit sky and a wonderful smell of wild flowers. The air around him blew his flowing white hair to the left of him and he looked like a painted masterpiece. Slowly he took his steps so that he could enjoy the outside. Jyaken walked right next to him begging Sesshomaru to put his armor on. He stopped short atop a hill overlooking a small village. In anger Sesshomaru took the armor and Jyaken with it. He flung Jyaken aside and proceeded to put on his chest plate. Just as soon a he finished he looked down at the village. By the looks of it, someone had inhabited it too long ago; fore it was now lying in ruins. Jyaken caught up after awhile and stood agape. Master? What has become of the mountain dogs? Last we were here- That was nearly 25 years ago Jyaken. Since then they have more than likely moved on, or were destroyed. Destroyed by whom my Lord? Sesshomaru did not answer. Instead he continued his walk. It was clear that he would not be receiving any help this time from his long time allies. They had vanished along with their combat skills and stamina. Jyaken made a slight bow in respect to the fallen warriors. He noticed that a small stick stood out of the ground and he stepped in closer to see it. He noticed that stick had something plainly written on it. Beware the blue! The final day approaches when all demons will be ruled by one. At this, Jyaken ran to catch up to Sesshomaru, but as he turned her ran smack into his masters legs. Sesshomaru had read the warning. A look of bewilderment sat on his brows and he suddenly knew what Acro was looking for. So, he wants the Lewej to become the most powerful demon both in the human and demon world. This will be most dangerous Lord Sesshomaru. What has destroyed them and what does the warning mean? What is the Lewej? Fool, the Lewej is the most powerful of all jewels in the demon realm. It would give any one demon complete and total power. He starred straight ahead. That one demon would be nearly impossible to defeat. Your not serious are you Lord Sesshomaru? Hmph. So the time approaches when the blue will pick a keeper to find its location and use its full power. I wonder which demon will be the one chosen. He walked off, away from the destroyed village. Jyaken was at his heels when he tripped over a rock and fell flat on his face. He heard laughter and looked back at the stick with the warning label on it. Only a fool uses the blue. He heard a voice say. Afraid he leapt to his feet and proceeded to follow Sesshomaru. |
