| Chapter 4 Odeda returned back to camp and put the water in a pot over the fire as Sam approached her. She stopped and fell to her knees when she got close to Odeda. What did you do to him? Sam looked coldly at Odeda. She held her head as though she were in pain and passed out. Odeda raced over to her side and held her up. Sam? Answer me Sam. What did I do to whom? Are you alright? Sam could only hear whispering around here and then suddenly she couldnt hear anyones voice around her at all. Everyone had been blocked out and she could see nothing that reminded her of anything. There was just a figure in the background with his back turned to her. She was standing in the middle of nowhere, black, and empty. She took one step and realized that she could walk wherever she was. Sam decided to approach the figure. Hey you? Can you tell me how to get out of here? Only a fool uses the blue. Sam was taken back by that voice and the words. She made a slight hiatus before saying another word, but before she could get the words out, the figure was moving toward her. She saw that he had on a cloak. It was lifted above his head as though he were a vampire or some mythological creature. His eyes burned red and he attacked her. Sam sat up screaming in the tent. Odeda unzipped it and brought in a cool towel for her forehead. Sam was burning up and she had been mumbling rhetoric. Are you okay Sam? I think so. Where is Jack? I dont know, he has not come back yet. I left him at the river. Robert and Martin are out looking for him. I am so worried Hey Sam looked up into Odedas eyes. Why did you say Only fools use the blue? Sam began to shake. You heard me say that? You heard the voice? In the wood a gathering was taking place. Three demons gathered in a huddle to discuss matters of taking over the human and demon worlds. It was a meeting that would decide who was going to which side of the portals of Lewej. There was no leaderyet. Fate would decide the ruler of this trio. To demons were bickering in the distance about the next phase in the plan to take over the demon world. Suddenly, a pair of shoes entered the room and the tow demons with their glowing eyes looked to see who would dare impose on their conversation. Hello gentlemen. The pair of shoes entered into the circle. Immediately the demons fought the smelly soles that had the audacity to come in and speak to them. With claws drawn and teeth barred, the demons attacked what they thought was no more than a mere human boy. Before they could strike, the mortal had thwarted their attacks with a flick of his writs that sent the demons flying into trees. You fools, could you not sense the demon in me? Before the injured demons stood, the third to their trio, Acro mad his appearence. He had taken possession of Jacks body and was now more threatening to any human in the human world. You must accept our apologies. We thought you were- A mortal, I know. That is why I have taken possession of this one. I needed one that was youthful, energetic, and capable of performing. The two demons were Hailahk and Divad. They were lower level demons compared to those that had been around for thousands of years. These two were too young to have claim over anything in any world. They were good for nothing, except help. Both were ugly and distorted. Their faces looked as though they had been dead for years. There was not much flesh left on their bones and their hair was matted, mangled, and left unclean. They hunched over with limps in their walk and unstoppable drool from hung their mouths. It was the most horrid sight ever. Acro now took his place on a low tree limb. He raised his human hands to his face and glanced at them with amazement. Master? When will we obtain human bodies? Acro sneered down at the scum he had hired to help him do his bidding. They were disgusting and stupid. How could he say what he had to say without making them confused? You will get them after you help me take over the human worldand the demon world. With all do respect sir, that is not what you promised us before. Acro scowled at the two with animosity and distaste. With as much patience as he could muster, he stood and jumped down. Intimidated by his presence the two demons fell to their knees as Acro made a soft landing. He simply smirked at their loyalty. Inside he thought, You fools, there is nothing you will receive after I have taken control of the human and demon world. I will destroy you both just as soon as I can. When Hailahk and Divad looked up, Acro had vanished. The two looked at one another in utter confusion. Why had he not answered their question? What was he plotting? |
