Aloha!  

          Welcome to Kupono Kane’s website.  Back in 2001, Lane and Kyle started Kupono Kane by releasing its debut CD entitled, “Weekend In Makena”, and later followed with a second CD called “Beach Party”.  

          Since then, they’ve gone their separate ways to pursue other opportunities.  Now Kupono Kane has matured as a band with 5 friends coming together to create a new chapter in its musical journey.   

          The 5 are Lane Ikawa (Vocals & Electric Guitar), Corey Lum (Vocals & Acoustic Guitar), Hubert Kaina (Vocals & Ukulele), Kiki Souza (Bass) and Calvin Canha (Drums).  Chaslee Ikawa, the band’s original drummer, is taking a well deserve break so she can focus on her high school activities.  Also, vocalist, Teresa Batungbacal is pursuing her education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and rejoins the band for performances when ever she’s back on Maui.   

     The 5 active band members are 2004 graduates from Maui High School and Baldwin High School.  They are now enrolled at Maui Community College and working part time.  Kupono Kane continues to perform at many events and private engagements with their island style reggae music.
