Joe Chemist passed away April 24, 2000 due to a chemistry lab accident. He mixed the wrong chemicals because he forgot to read the labels and heed the warnings. He is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Chemist and by two younger sisters Ima and Youra. Joe had been a sophomore at Lanier High School where he played on the Regional Champion's Vok basketball team. His lab partner will miss Joe as will all his friends. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and interment will be at Mission Vok Cemetery.
