/Guilty Conscience/

/Chapter 7/

Kim slammed Kennys front door, and hurried down the stairs. She wanted to get the fuck out of here, walk, cool her anger off. Just the suggestion that Murry and Marshall might have been fucking around pissed her off. She didnt even totally believe it, but what the fuck? Kenny obviously thought something was going on there, and why would he think that, unless Murrys been talking to him about stuff. And if that was the case, than Kim wanted to be talked to about it, too.

Was it fair that Marshall could fuck around with Murry, and that Kim didnt know about it? No. It wasnt. Tears welled up in her eyes. She loved him, and she wanted him to only think of her *that* way. The thought of him and Murry....

She shuddered and walked a little faster, turning the corner and almost running into an old man. "Sorry," She said quickly, looking down as she passed him, breathing a sigh of relief that she didnt hit him. Tears were now streaming down her cheeks, her best friend and her boyfriend, that BITCH. Marshall was HERS. What didnt Murry understand about that? She looked up and looked around, as if deciding if she wanted to go home, or in another direction, like....

Turning towards Murrys house, she walked a little faster, almost jogging, wiping her face with the back of hand. Murry wouldnt do that to her, would she? It was hard to tell, they could have been drunk or something, or Murry just might not be trustworthy. Digging in her pocket, she took out her ciggarettes and put one in her mouth as she lit it. She had to stop to light it, the wind kept blowing the flame out. Finally she lit it and threw the match to the ground and began walking quickly again.

Inhaling the smoke, she sighed as she felt it circulating her lungs and leaving her body. Immediatly she felt calmer. This was good. She would just talk to Murry, ask Murry calmly if anything was going on between her and Marshall, and if she said no, then she would believe her. And if she said yes... She was going to fucking kill her. AND MARSHALL!

------

"Murry!" She heard her father yell from the bottom of the stairs and she tossed the pill bottle under her pillow and ran to the door.

"Yeah!?" She called, opening the door. She was now fully dressed now, black tee shirt and blue baggy jeans. She had just gelled her hair and gotten dressed.

"Kims here!" He said loudly, and she heard footsteps on the stairs. She assumed it was Kim and left the door open, walking over to her bed and sitting down, watching as Kim walked into the room, and shut the door behind her.

"Kim, girl, Im so glad your here-" Murry started, reaching for the pillows.

"WAIT!" Kim said loudly. "I have questions, and I want answers, and truth answers."

"Um, alright," Murry withdrew her reach for the pillows and sat down, watching Kim pace around the room.

"You, have you...I mean... Okay." She sat down next to Murry and sighed. "Do you swear to tell the truth?"

"Yeah," Murry shrugged. What the fuck?

"No, SWEAR, like, Swear on our friendship?" Kim raised both eyebrows, expectantly.

"Yeah, Kim, I do. Whats up?" She asked, frowning. What was the matter with her?

"Okay, look, how close are you and Marshall?" She asked, narrowing her eyes.

"Really close, hes one of my best friends, c'mon Kim, yanno that." Murry rolled her eyes. "Hey, are you stoned?"

"No, Im not fucking stoned, Im completely serious, Im asking you a question. Now... Why dont you wanna hear about me and Marsh...?"

"Because, thats like, creepy. My ex boyfriend, best friend, your like my sister, I dont want to hear about it, it freaks me out." She shrugged.

"Not about sex, but like anything, when we fight, or like if I wanted to tell you about stuff he said?" Kim leaned closer to her and Murry leaned away.

"Because, I either dont want to be in the middle of the bullshit, OR I just dont care. I have my own shit going on Kim... I dont want to deal with you and Marshalls problems. He dont talk about you to me either, it goes both ways."

"Its not kuz you still like him?!" Kim questioned, raising her voice.

"Um, Kim..." Murry stood up. "No, do you know what your saying?"

"So you dont still like him, at all?" Kim asked, suspiciously.

"No, not really but I-"

"NOT REALLY? BUT? BUT NOT REALLY WHAT?" Kim jumped to her feet.

"I dont like him anymore Kim, whats the-"

"BUT WHAT?!" Kim was practically screaming.

"Kim would you shut the fuck up?" Murry said, getting annoyed. "Your gonna piss off my dad. No, I dont like Marshall. Why?"

"Kenny told me that he thought there was something going on with you two." Kim said, matter of factly.

"WHAT?!" Murry grinned. She was like, half amused, half pissed that Kenny was trying to start problems. "Kim, Kenny is stoned 50 percent of the time, dont listen to anything he says." She shook her head and laughed a little.

"So, theres nothing going on?" Kim asked, sitting down. She was calmer. She believed Murry.

"Theres nothing, NOTHING, going on." Murry grinned at her. "Trust me..."

"Okay." Kim said, relieved. She did trust Murry, Murry seemed to be telling the truth.

"Now Kim, I gotta show you..." Murry rushed over to the bed and lifted the pillows up, grabbing the pill bottle and holding it up to Kim. "Vicadin!" She said softly, not wanting anyone to hear her, incase her father had come upstairs or her mother was home.

"Oh my god," Kim grabbed the bottle and examined it, handing it back to Murry as she looked up. "Where the fuck did you get it?"

"I slipped in my bathroom," Murry laughed, "And it fell out of the mirror when I grabbed it. This is AWESOME, do you know how much these are worth?"

"What Miligram are they?" Kim asked.

"500!" Murry said excitedly.

"Holy shit, thats like, alot of Miligrams, you can get like, 20 bucks a pill for them shit." Kim grinned at her. "Hook me up, Ill buy some!"

"I dont know how many their are yet, I havent got a chance to count them, I JUST found them before you got here, like 10 minutes ago. I think Im gonna sell most of them, and pay back Rye, and then I have the deal thursday, YES!" Murry grinned happily. "Im gonna have so much money... Really soon. I think Im gonna use some of them too, these are good."

"Sweet, Murry thats awesome. But like, what if their your mom or dads?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"They are my moms, it says her name on the bottle, but like, Ill just say I dont know what happened to them, or something. Theres no proof, Ill sell em before she realizes they gone!" Murry said, putting them back under her pillow and sitting down next to Kim. "Im branching out! Kenny wishes he was still in on this shit!"

"Yeah, haha!" Kim smiled, she was happy for Murry.

"So you heard about me and Kenny?" Murry asked, biting the corner of her thumb nail.

"Yeah, well he said that like, you went over there and flipped out or whatever, because your being dumb about the way your selling and paying, and he was annoyed, and that he was gonna let you fuck yourself over or whatever so you learn." Kim shrugged. "Denise got pissed and said that like, you dont learn from getting fucked over, you get locked up, but I dont think that will happen, so dont worry. You know what your doing well enough, I think."

"I know just fine," Murry said, getting pissed off.

A knock sounded on the door and it opened shortly after. Murry thanked herself that she had put the pills away before, as she looked at her mother standing in the doorway. Her mother was short, and thin, with long brown hair that was pulled back into a pony tail. Her mom was pretty, for a mom. She was really nice too.

"Hey girls," She smiled at them.

"Hey ma," Murry said.

"Hey," Kim smiled at Murrys mom.

"Kim, are you staying for dinner?" She asked. "Murry are you gonna be home for dinner?"

"Im leaving in a few minutes, I have to go get ready for tonight." Kim said, shaking her head.

"Yeah, Im gonna be home for a little while, then Im going out. What are we having?" Murry asked, kicking a sock across the floor boredly.

"I was going to make hotdogs, I didnt know if I should cook more or..."

"Its okay, Ill eat out somewhere. DeShaun will bring me food from Gilberts, or something." Murry assured her.

"Thank you though," Kim said sweetly, and Murry raised an eyebrow at her. Kim loved sucking up to peoples moms. But she treated her own like shit.

"Your welcome girls," Her mom said, taking the hint from Murrys eyes to leave, and closing the door lightly.

"I love your mom," Kim said, watching the closed door as they heard the footsteps on the stairs.

"I know." Murry said, standing up.

"Yeah, but Im gonna get going, take a shower and head over to Marshalls before we go to Denauns, you going?" Kim asked.

"I dont know, Im meeting DeShaun after work and-"

"DeShauns going, I think." Kim said quickly.

"Then... Maybe I am going. Denise going?"

"Yeah I think so." Kim nodded. "Ill see you tonight then?"

"Yeah, probably. See ya," Murry said, watching Kim open the door, wave at Murry and leave the room. She listened to her footsteps, down the hall, down the stairs, and then the voices of Kim and her mother talking. She sighed and laid back on the bed. She was exhausted, didnt get much sleep last night, and she intended to make up for it now.

------

"Marshall?" DeShaun asked, as his friend turned around grinning, plastic red cup in his hand. It was almost midnight, and they were all over Denauns, drinking. Denaun had his connections, he could easily get them alcohol, even though they werent really "of age" yet. He had his ways.

"Yeah man?" Marshall grinned at his friend and turned away from the conversation he had been having with Denaun and Joey.

"Have you seen Murry?" DeShaun asked. "I wanna smoke."

"Dawg, me too." Marshall looked into his empty beer cup. "I need more beer..."

"Youve had alot..." DeShaun said slowly, and seriously. "Marshall, I want you to be careful with your drinking and-"

"Shut up, man!" Marshall said, laughing. DeShaun laughed too.

"Sike, but man, where are she?" DeShaun said, walking towards the kitchen.

"Who knows, She could be anywhere..." Marshall said, following him, stopping to refill his cup from the keg and jogging to catch up to him, carefull not to spill his drink.

"Yo, you looking for Murry?" Matt said, coming from no where and following them.

"Yeah," the two echoed.

"Shes out back with Kim and Denise, and some Jay kid." Matt said, following them to the back door.

DeShaun opened it and stepped out onto the wooden deck in front of them, looking around as his eyes rested on four people, sitting down on the steps that led to the grass. Kim and Denise were on one step, and Murry and another guy, he assumed was Jay, were on the step below them. Murry was talking about something, but stopped and looked up when she saw DeShaun, Marshall and Matt walk out onto the deck towards them.

"Whats up guys? This is Jay, Jay this is DeShaun... Thats Marshall, Kims boyfriend," She added. "You already met Matt, the rest of the guys are inside."

"Hey," Jay switched his cup to his other hand, and held out the hand his cup had been in to DeShaun. DeShaun shook his hand and then Marshall leaned down and shook his hand, noticing his hand was cold from the beer.

"Jays one of Kennys friends, but... Hes cool with me too." Murry nodded.

"Cool." DeShaun said. "I was wondering if you had any weed."

"A little, blatant there, huh D?" Murry grinned. He was so drunk, she could tell. They had been drinking for only like an hour and a half, but Marshall, DeShaun and Kim had gotten drunk VERY fast. They drank probably double what she had drank so far. And Kim and Marshall had been here before her and DeShaun were here. Kim couldnt even walk, she was surprised Marshall wasnt puking yet, and DeShaun... Well... He could probably get a little bit more drunk than he was now.

"Uh, yeah." He shrugged, not really understand what blantant means. Maybe when hes sober, but not right now.

"I have weed," Denise said, smiling at DeShaun. "You guys wanna smoke?"

"I cant," Kim said quicky.

"Why?"

"Because... Im gonna puke." She said, and Murry nodded, smiling at how well she knew her friends.

"Yeah, I wanna smoke," DeShaun nodded, walking towards Denise.

"Me too," Jay said, standing up. Denise stood up and looked around. "Murry?"

"Nah," Murry shook her head.

"Marshall? Matt?" Denise offered, holding out the bag of weed and the bowl she had taken from her purse.

"No," They both shook their heads and she shrugged.

"We'll be back then." Denise said, descending the steps, Jay behind her and Deshaun following them, almost falling on his face when he tried to step off the last step. Murry started laughing and DeShaun turned around wondering who was laughing, but couldnt really see in the dark, so he ran to catch up to Denise and Jay.
