.
Shaolin Drunken Monk falls short of other Gordon Liu movies. Although
the movie is mildly entertaining, it isn't anything special. The
drunken style story has been done much better and Liu doesn't bring
anything ground breaking to the scene. And to be honest, Gordon Liu is a terrible
drunken boxer. He seems much too stiff for the style. If your a Gordon
fan I recommend this flick, otherwise this is an average film.

After a Shaolin kung fu master is murdered by his own students, his
son (Liu) flees for his own life. When he meets up with a mysterious
hermit, he is taught the Drunken Kung Fu. Now with his new style he
must take revenge for his father's death.
