Samurai Reincarnation starts off pretty weird and I was expecting
another terrible fantasy film. But I was happily suprised to find out
that this was actually a good movie. It's funny because I also own a
anime movie called Ninja Resurrection. It has a very similar story
about a character called Jubei. Even the title has similarities. But
all in all the story is very interesting and the acting was top-notch.
The story is a little on the weird side telling about a Japanese
Christian that gave his soul to Satan. But despite the weirdness, this
is a really good movie. One thing that could have been better was the
special effects. In the beginning they use them to make a guys face
turn red and his eyes glow. It looks so cheesy I had to laugh. Also,
this movie is full of sexual situations, some getting pretty gory. In
one scene a monk kills a woman and bites into her breast. One thing
you won't find in this movie is a lot of fight scenes. You do get to see
some good sword fights, but not until the end of the movie. Although
weird, Samurai Reincarnation is a good movie. I recommend it to all
Sonny Chiba fans.

After surviving the slaughter of many Christians 350 years ago, Shito,
a samurai, denounces God for ignoring the plea of believers. He sells
his soul to the devil and receives the power to resurrect the dead and
have them join him on a murderous rampage. It's up to Jubei (Sonny
Chiba - Kill Bill) to seek out a maker of swords that can fashion him
a weapon that will kill the undead.
