. The One isn't 'one' of Li's better films. In fact it's 'one' of his worst. The 'one' thing to look forward to in this movie is the cool special effects. Since this movie was made in 2001 with a good amount of cash to spend, the film featured top-notch special effects. I have to admit that even though the movie isn't great, some of the effects are awesome. Like when Jet picks up two motorcycles and crushes a cop to death. Very cool. A serious lack of emotion from Jet Li's character made it hard to feel sorry for him. I think this is mostly because Li can't speak english well so he can't properly convey emotions. I do have to say that once I did start watching the movie I wanted to see what happened at the end. It's one of those movies that are ok the first time around, but you don't care if you ever see it again. A good movie for Jet Li fans, but otherwise I would label this flick as a rental only.

. Jet Li plays two roles, one being a normal cop with a normal life. The other patrols other dimensions making sure no one abuses power. But when he is forced to kill himself in another dimension, he receives strange power. So he starts killing himself in multiple dimensions giving him more power every time. But the power he gets is also evenly distributed between his other 'selves' in alternate dimension. When the 'normal' Li is attacked by what looked like himself, he must figure out what's going on why was he being hunted down by an enemy that looks exactly like him. With the help of two police from a different dimension, Li must stop the killer from completing his mission, to kill him and obtain ultimate power.
