Magnificent Butcher is thought of by some as one of the best martial
art moves of all time, and seeing the quality of this movie I can see
why. Sammo Hung plays the part of a butcher named Lam Sai-wing who is
also a mischievous student of an older Wong Fei Hung. Several other
popular actors make appearances like Yuen Biao (Once Upon a Time in
China) and Wei Pai (Five Deadly Venoms). Even though this movie does have
serious moments, it's still basically a comedy. Yuen Wo Ping directs
this movie and his familiar fight choreography style is easily
recognized. With great stunts done with absolutely no wires, the
fight scenes are awesome. A must see for all martial art movie fans.

A student of Wong Fei Hung's martial art academy, chubby and likable
butcher Lam Sai-wing (Sammo) constantly lands in trouble - no more so
when he comes to the rescue of Kao Da-hoi, the son of Master Ko who
heads opposing kung fu school the Five Dragons. The good hearted Sai
Wing never suspects that Do-hoi is plotting against him by planning a
series of events that frame Sai-Wing for the murder of his half sister.
Out for vengeance and to clear his own name, Sai-wing faces Da-hoi then
his father Master Ko in a martial art showdown.
